Each year making a respectable showing many times winning the division outright. Fast forward to 2024 and it seems all the hard work the Brewers have done is now be taken granted for these days. Why is is that? Let's take a closer look at Milwaukee in 2024.</p><p>I can understand why everyone believes Milwaukee will struggling to be a team about the .500 level. They traded away Corbin Burnes and Brandon Woodruff is gone for the season and Devin Williams will be out extended time. These are very good reasons to think Milwaukee will struggle all season long. I think it will not be as bad as people may think.</p><p>Devin Williams will be out around 3 to 4 months and then he will be back. The bullpen Milwaukee has right now should be able to hold it together until he gets back. The starting pitching is something that worries me a little. Once you get past Freddy Peralta it really gets sketchy.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLsjgax6BoFPqEebPj12QA8MTIOANoCUIf_-9-TzEs4XoID6QerLIwLSYRskecpEZNCugknyHVe0ROLdHm1C3BKxuCwmOeIL64MYtoh9A3QAzNSSlHRCeLNORtxKezb9nA3xSUj58em6050AaDjpwkauhwhXv6LLhXHP7ShfMrUObjiTlBOJCdRer-_yAb/s640/stadium-5460564_640.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="color: #2288bb; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-decoration-line: none;"><img border="0" data-original-height="427" data-original-width="640" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLsjgax6BoFPqEebPj12QA8MTIOANoCUIf_-9-TzEs4XoID6QerLIwLSYRskecpEZNCugknyHVe0ROLdHm1C3BKxuCwmOeIL64MYtoh9A3QAzNSSlHRCeLNORtxKezb9nA3xSUj58em6050AaDjpwkauhwhXv6LLhXHP7ShfMrUObjiTlBOJCdRer-_yAb/s320/stadium-5460564_640.jpg" style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 1px solid rgb(238, 238, 238); box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.1) 1px 1px 5px; padding: 5px; position: relative;" width="320" /></a></div><p>There are guys who have pitched for other teams were brought in and a few young arms also will be sprinkled in as well. Milwaukee has been known to get the most out of their pitchers and 2024 won't be any different as well. As far as scoring Milwaukee has plenty of youth and veterans to add punch to the lineup. Toss in Gary Sanchez and Rhys Hoskins and the Brewers should be able to score runs.</p><p>I think Milwaukee will surprise a lot of people in 2024 and be contending again for a playoff berth or division title. Milwaukee loves winning the division, so do not count them out for that either.</p><p><br style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px;" /></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-18550036808097691732024-03-22T15:09:00.000-07:002024-03-22T15:09:28.155-07:00Why Oakland's Win Over Kentucky Was Huge For College Basketball<p> Many people think Oakland's win last night over Kentucky was just luck and the story will end in the next game. People do not realize Oakland is a very good team that earned the win as much as Kentucky didn't play well. For College Basketball Oakland was a glimpse into the future of the sport.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6UB6dYrKs47jEmKEPnrxJlYhyphenhyphen_M-zmn4VRrHH8I0sFhh4_OWpQ_e-U41NEDBzMbxz2SCRYzhVYJaUZ4Dbvm6NW8CFi-wfTpySXosrK2jD8hWCKr_vt2PAEAeuIXmaS5ICTRpsZZvoXIGgczP7tBiiFK8U_yO2_5cM5dkNsXhG5fugaYcBu6TN9ICPh5c1/s640/shot-clock-2846843_640.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="427" data-original-width="640" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6UB6dYrKs47jEmKEPnrxJlYhyphenhyphen_M-zmn4VRrHH8I0sFhh4_OWpQ_e-U41NEDBzMbxz2SCRYzhVYJaUZ4Dbvm6NW8CFi-wfTpySXosrK2jD8hWCKr_vt2PAEAeuIXmaS5ICTRpsZZvoXIGgczP7tBiiFK8U_yO2_5cM5dkNsXhG5fugaYcBu6TN9ICPh5c1/s320/shot-clock-2846843_640.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /> Kentucky has always been a program people talked about in the elite sense, but lately they have had early exits in the NCAA Tournament. Many people will tell you it's because they are young and inexperience which is paritally true. The other thing is College basketball is seeing a shift away from power teams and a more level playing field.<p></p><p>No longer is a No.1 seed given a easy road to the Final Four. Each and every game could be there last one this is where a team like Oakland excels. Teams such as Oakland no longer have any fear in playong higher seeds. In fact, they relish the competition and the chance to eliminate a higher seed.</p><p>This is the state of college basketball these days and I kinda of like the direction it is headed. More competitive games and fun basketball to watch. Hate it or love it college basketball is very enjoyable these days.<br /></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-61474155532204378612024-03-19T16:13:00.000-07:002024-03-19T16:13:02.713-07:00March Madness Is Great Television For Sports Fans<p> <span style="background-color: white; color: #242424; font-family: source-serif-pro, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em;">Years ago March Madness was so much different. When you created brackets you knew most №1 seeds had an excellent chance of making the Finals. Now you cannot even make that claim aymore. Even a №16 seed could upset a Top-Ranked team in this tournament.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: white; color: #242424; font-family: source-serif-pro, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em;">It has become where almost anyone can win a game in this tournament. Twenty years ago that was a rare thing indeed. This has made March Madness a must see anymore. You never know now who will win or lose a game. This means even the smaller schools have a chance to win some games in the tournament.</span></p><p class="pw-post-body-paragraph xw xx tz nm b xy xz ya yb yc yd ye yf mw yg yh yi nb yj yk yl ng ym yn yo yp jw bq" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="5d1b" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #242424; font-family: source-serif-pro, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2.14em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;">Does this mean we will see a smaller school win this tournament soon. It has been reported he is seeing around 44 million a year, but I do not know that to be true or not. Let's use that number as a starting point in this article. Is Baker worth 44 million? Let's talk a little about Baker and what I think he would be worth to the Buccaneers.</p><p>You cannot start talk about money without taking into consideration the Buccaneers basically were then only team offering Mayfield a contract last year. Most teams passed on Mayfield, but the Buccaneers gave him an opportunity to be in this position. I think the Buccaneers were hoping for a hometown discount, but it looks like Mayfield's camp is not in on that kind of thinking.</p><p>The number that the Buccaneers are looking for is 22-30 million range is what I'm guessing as a good number for them. Mayfield is looking for 44 million as a starting point according to various reports. So right now they are far apart, but are still working on trying to get a deal done before Monday.</p><p>The real question is Bake Mayfield worth 44 million a year or even more. I love what baker brought to the Buccaneers on and off the field, but that number 44 million is a little high. I hope the Buccaneers do not go past 35 million with Mayfield. I have this feeling they may do that though in the long run. I look for Tampa Bay to draft a quarterback in the draft as well. What about Kyle Trask?</p><p>In college at Florida Kyle Trask threw for over 60 touchdowns and just 15 interceptions. He is talented, but the Buccaneers do not seem to trust him at all and that makes me wonder. They must not feel comfortable with him or they would not have looked towards Baker Mayfield last year. </p><p>I guess we will see how much the Buccaneers pay Mayfield, but if they do not look for Trask to be given his chance and the Bucs draft a quarterback as well. I do think the Bucs will bite the bullet and pay Mayfield. Even if its more then they want too. Mayfield knows no matter what he will be paid by the Bucs or someone else.</p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-482840452468329182024-01-17T16:14:00.000-08:002024-01-17T16:14:18.625-08:00Baker Mayfield Continues To Show The Buccaneers Why He Is A Franchise Quarterback<p> Baker Mayfield was a No.1 pick just a few years ago and now he is trying to get back to those lofty goals. Going into the 2023 season no one really wanted him, but Tampa Bay decided to kick the tires and are glad they did. Mayfield has been worth every bit of the 4 million they were paying him. He came in and became a part of team and not a distraction. This is something he has been accused of early in his career a distraction to the team and others.</p><p>The Buccaneers have seen a more matured Baker Mayfield. He has been all about the team and not worried about himself. He has played some of the best football in his career. If you ask Buccaneer players about Baker Mayfield, you will hear nothing but good things about him. Sometimes it takes a while to mature in the NFL. Mayfield has realized his time could be running out as a starter, so he has to make the most of this one.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitYBs9n2FvNEyLB62iltzUObeYv4otGxB5DirngPWbAz8I2x4ZChmKh3cM61DCr9Gn9tW3Y3ixqJ0YYRTOLfWPqtpgQRCLbAPTG-5RP1myLsdpYNsWd7joSlx5wCmVkXt-FaUth1Ps2jCMIqUieM5rY41_C_E2JouBC3AjJlgt9mHj5FD0j02o2lf2gjaV/s640/football-referee-1544069_640.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="427" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitYBs9n2FvNEyLB62iltzUObeYv4otGxB5DirngPWbAz8I2x4ZChmKh3cM61DCr9Gn9tW3Y3ixqJ0YYRTOLfWPqtpgQRCLbAPTG-5RP1myLsdpYNsWd7joSlx5wCmVkXt-FaUth1Ps2jCMIqUieM5rY41_C_E2JouBC3AjJlgt9mHj5FD0j02o2lf2gjaV/s320/football-referee-1544069_640.jpg" width="214" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p>Baker has gotten the Buccaneers into the playoffs and just recently beat the Eagles. This week they travel to Detroit for another playoff game. Mayfield is playing with house money right now. He has nothing to lose and will play loose and free. No one gave the Buccaneers a chance this season, so each step is a win for them.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-61722393645634042452023-09-15T15:37:00.001-07:002023-09-15T15:37:24.328-07:00Deion Sanders And Colorado Must See TV Against Colorado State<p> It seems every coach that Deion Sanders coaches against has something to say about him. This week we can add Colorado State's coach Jay Norvell to that ever-growing list. Norvell said when he talks to adults he takes off his hat and sunglasses a reference to Deion who really doesn't. This makes this game a must-watch this week that's for sure. Colorado is favored by double digits, so it will see how this all ends up in the end.</p><p>Disrespect is a word that everyone tosses around when we talk about Deion Sanders and his Colorado football team. I've lost count of coaches and players who give out bulletin board material. Sometimes it gives teams incentives, but sometimes it does not. In the end, the best team usually always wins these kinds of games. Most people will point to what the Colorado State coach said as the reason they lost the game if they lose. The bottom line is what someone says doesn't matter at game time. You still must perform on the field when it is time.</p><p>Like him or hate him Deion Sanders is good for college football. He keeps people talking about the sport and watching it as well. Anytime more people are watching the games it's a good thing. No matter who wins this game it's all good for college football.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcY5MMlsmd656eqEAshObFq-sQYXz2vLbzdA4AGkLfiCuhVsC_TRj6HQaHMRPM_M2Fv9g3WTbvfRE0_HrP2TXf9OmC0vGmr2b6qQQe2hK1Sk8yzz3RpmhNYjwgAh5eNC2seo9Dc8CN1B6OMT79O_R7nb_NExiE-vsVyUlkRDlb3jWOj-5psqhfI4kkv73W/s640/ball-5497606_640.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="427" data-original-width="640" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcY5MMlsmd656eqEAshObFq-sQYXz2vLbzdA4AGkLfiCuhVsC_TRj6HQaHMRPM_M2Fv9g3WTbvfRE0_HrP2TXf9OmC0vGmr2b6qQQe2hK1Sk8yzz3RpmhNYjwgAh5eNC2seo9Dc8CN1B6OMT79O_R7nb_NExiE-vsVyUlkRDlb3jWOj-5psqhfI4kkv73W/s320/ball-5497606_640.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-85369911581765829832023-03-24T10:09:00.004-07:002023-03-24T10:09:55.975-07:00MLB 2023 Season Preview Buckle Up The Ride Will Be Wild<p> Every year it seems MLB seasons get wilder and wilder in the 2023 season promises to be just as crazy. We have the New York Yankees and the New York Mets as two of the better teams in Major League Baseball, but that does not guarantee any things these days. It seems there always is a team that comes out of left field that no one really considered and that could happen again this year.</p><p>The New York Mets are loaded this season, but can they put it all together is the question. Sometimes getting all the pieces to fit into place can take some time. The San Diego Padres are another team that has a very potent lineup that could give teams a lot of problems. Then you head over to the American League East and all of those teams are good and getting better it seems. This is why it is hard to handicap a winner in the 2023 MLB season.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMF83c6SHe0f-yS6CP9NpRZcBOi3UfmVtxBWCGI4oUVQVS8D1BpzhNLvNERpEuNzUm-SgJb-pv7VPSth2eR8dYn2YXmgQu81IazzcpaqUveMZ7vxPv4IlX9Hzi9bGn9ojRWiM92dTbXwcB24aN4plF7bdzt2lcLg0LB_65febmsXO3r9DsFMrYAv20lg/s640/baseball-field-1563858_640.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="427" data-original-width="640" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMF83c6SHe0f-yS6CP9NpRZcBOi3UfmVtxBWCGI4oUVQVS8D1BpzhNLvNERpEuNzUm-SgJb-pv7VPSth2eR8dYn2YXmgQu81IazzcpaqUveMZ7vxPv4IlX9Hzi9bGn9ojRWiM92dTbXwcB24aN4plF7bdzt2lcLg0LB_65febmsXO3r9DsFMrYAv20lg/s320/baseball-field-1563858_640.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>Hold on to your hats this season is going to be wild. I am glad to see George Scott being honored as he was one of my favorite players and more people need to know about his legacy. His son George Scott III has been keeping his dad's legacy alive and this honor is something I'm sure George Scott would have loved a lot. George tallied 271 Home Runs and 1,051 RBI's in his Major League Career. Scott is the All-Time Red Sox leader in games played at first base, along with his 944 starts. Scott enjoyed his time with the Redsox as he started his career there and flourished. Many people remember Scott for calling his home runs taters, but he was so much more than just a home run hitter.</p><p>One of the areas George took great pride in was his ability as a defensive first baseman. George won a total of 8 Gold Gloves. At one point he won five straight Gold Gloves as a member of the Milwaukee Brewers. He even had a nickname for his glove it was called Black Beauty. Many people need to realize how good George Scott was as a player.</p><p>The Red Sox will be honoring him on April 4th, 2023 lets hope we have a packed house to honor this baseball great. Before he could shoot at an NBA basket everyone was anointing him as the greatest of all time. Now those were some lofty goals to achieve and from it he took a lot of heat. The bad part it was not of his doing it was mostly press clippings that people wrote about James. Let's take a closer look at the hatred of Lebron James and why it still persists today.</p><p>Lebron James was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers and given the job to win them a championship. Everyone thought with James it would happen quickly, but it did not work out that way. James pulled his weight, but a championship eluded him earlier in his career. After some time he decided he needed to go play somewhere else and moved on to Miami. Cleveland fans took it very hard and burned his jerseys and so the hatred began. </p><p>In Miami, he enjoyed some success winning championships, but the hatred seems to grow for him. He did not like the perception he was giving out and eventually went back to Cleveland. He was welcomed back, but not everyone was receptive to him coming back. He did finally fulfill his dream and get the Cavaliers and the City Of Cleveland a Championship. People thought he would retire as a Cavalier, but James had other ideas. He eventually decided he wanted to play for the Los Angeles Lakers so the hatred grew so more.</p><p>In Los Angeles, he has won a championship, but for the most part, it has been a struggle. LeBron James has always just wanted people to appreciate his talent and his ability on the court. The hatred just seems to grow with him and he has helped it grow as well. People never want to see their idols get passed by someone else and that is what James is trying to do. It happens in every sport and will continue to as well.</p><p>In the end, we should enjoy the time we have Lebron James and his great talent. He is a rare player that does not come along all the time. Like him or hate him you cannot dispel how talented he is and what a great basketball player he has become over the years.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMkSbk6zZ9abQkBRGYnEJGieG_Yev1BvoeNWupXJw5zO9K_iGvdLrrG2gGmc-QOnq6noGXQTOwg0HMDTd3jqu27OaY6NnrzvZJBmdrnYD3g3Juqb-sPumd9hr4FwS7gLyzYxEeKuqXKyFWlwoMC0llBiewqxBtFJ2PS0PAjmhcFhpLlVFgIma2_N0Daw/s640/man-5777378_640.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="446" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMkSbk6zZ9abQkBRGYnEJGieG_Yev1BvoeNWupXJw5zO9K_iGvdLrrG2gGmc-QOnq6noGXQTOwg0HMDTd3jqu27OaY6NnrzvZJBmdrnYD3g3Juqb-sPumd9hr4FwS7gLyzYxEeKuqXKyFWlwoMC0llBiewqxBtFJ2PS0PAjmhcFhpLlVFgIma2_N0Daw/s320/man-5777378_640.png" width="223" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p><br /></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-26788067240172925392023-01-17T14:04:00.001-08:002023-01-17T14:04:24.318-08:00Have We Seen The Last Of Tom Brady?<p> Tom Brady has had a career no one ever thought he would, so you cannot blame him if he decides to walk away. After last night's loss to the Dallas Cowboys, many people think he just does not have it anymore. I'm not in that thinking at all. Tampa Bay's offense had a lot of issues and you cannot lie that all at Tom Brady's lap. Have we seen the last of Tom Brady? Let's take a closer look at what he could do in the future.</p><p>First and foremost retirement is an option as he does have a big fat contract with Fox Sports he could go to right now. I do not see Brady doing that though, as he still loves the game of football and wants to go out as a winner, not a loser. Will Brady return to the Bucs? Do not look for Brady to return to Tampa Bay as they have too many issues and he does not want to deal with them at his age.</p><p>There are a few teams that make sense for Tom Brady. He wants a team that he can help lead that is talented and ready to win a Super Bowl. He wants to be that missing piece that they need. If Brady can find the perfect fit look for Brady to play for another team before he retires. If he does get lucky enough to get to another Super Bowl I think that will be the last ride for him. He wants to go out on top and he will chase that dream until he cannot play any longer.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFs036E5JsME02dkSzBUrtF150mXOtms0_3MHP52GUzn0TK7qVncAfFhUgMuGsPDGHKnDBFWb8sao2fzFpO1bR2SoryWaG5bAvpGtjFo0Iv0ZUlbEt2BjPzgj-DYspH86y-nBbx0lEaEvIFVk1ZhNY1FXE1I4CIrebJ1DKssptI_he60_G8RdTkEUdwA/s640/rugby-596747_640.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="426" data-original-width="640" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFs036E5JsME02dkSzBUrtF150mXOtms0_3MHP52GUzn0TK7qVncAfFhUgMuGsPDGHKnDBFWb8sao2fzFpO1bR2SoryWaG5bAvpGtjFo0Iv0ZUlbEt2BjPzgj-DYspH86y-nBbx0lEaEvIFVk1ZhNY1FXE1I4CIrebJ1DKssptI_he60_G8RdTkEUdwA/s320/rugby-596747_640.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-35405276095245267302023-01-14T08:04:00.003-08:002023-01-14T08:05:18.514-08:00Brewers Going Down On The Farm<p> <span face="source-serif-pro, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif" style="background-color: white; color: #292929; letter-spacing: -0.003em;"><span style="font-size: large;">As the Brewers baseball faithful watch, all MLB teams sign players Milwaukee sits by the wayside with their wallets zipped up tightly. If you are waiting for the Brewers to sign a big name to a big contract you might as well wait for your lottery ticket to hit as well. Milwaukee is not going to be a spender in free agency this off-season. They will be going farming in 2023 to fill out the Brewers roster.</span></span></p><p class="pw-post-body-paragraph yk yl xa sf b ym yn ut yo yp yq uw yr ys yt yu yv yw yx yy yz za zb zc zd ze pm bx" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="d644" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: source-serif-pro, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;">What is farming you may ask? It’s simply relying on the Minor Leagues to fill out your roster. Milwaukee has some talent they have been grooming for the last few years. Those are the players that Milwaukee will be counting on to lead them to the playoffs in 2023. Many Brewers fans may not have heard of these players, but if they perform well Milwaukee would have made the correct decision.</p><p class="pw-post-body-paragraph yk yl xa sf b ym yn ut yo yp yq uw yr ys yt yu yv yw yx yy yz za zb zc zd ze pm bx" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="d644" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: source-serif-pro, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;"><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTtMH9FRpM9C6YRz1BWEy-uuSmecmM9uI3L4uz90276PXrX0LsN0zwH58Bex73BpBv_FR6p3-2bKSQk88Z9NJ6WYTlaTG4-7YnHr9tgxjdIUVw5ZVvzt6k2pP894uOzxuBlyutZ-rPK29Hk1q5akkp8jnplz52uYQ2KwpchAbd02I3R2SUPLDUl1pF1A/s640/baseball-field-1563858_640.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="426" data-original-width="640" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTtMH9FRpM9C6YRz1BWEy-uuSmecmM9uI3L4uz90276PXrX0LsN0zwH58Bex73BpBv_FR6p3-2bKSQk88Z9NJ6WYTlaTG4-7YnHr9tgxjdIUVw5ZVvzt6k2pP894uOzxuBlyutZ-rPK29Hk1q5akkp8jnplz52uYQ2KwpchAbd02I3R2SUPLDUl1pF1A/s320/baseball-field-1563858_640.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p class="pw-post-body-paragraph yk yl xa sf b ym yn ut yo yp yq uw yr ys yt yu yv yw yx yy yz za zb zc zd ze pm bx" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="d644" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: source-serif-pro, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;"><span style="letter-spacing: -0.003em;">Was this the right decision for Milwaukee and its fans? The Yankees offered around 230 million dollars, but apparently Judge was looking for more. Judge is betting on himself and he could win out or lose out on alot of money and this is why.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Judge is a talented player and has proved to be a very good hitter and outfielder for the Yankees. The problem is he has had a history on injuries throughout his career as well. If he gets hurt again this year he may find it tough to get an offer like the Yankees offered him. The Yankees outfielder is betting on himself to stay healthy and have a great season to get top dollar. Thats a risky bet in my opinion. When you get a chance to get good money you take it when it is offered.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">I can understand what Judge is doing and it may work out for him. It could also go south for him as well. I guess we will have to wait and see how this all plays out in the end. The Yankees could decide to save the money and go in a different direction or offer less if Judge has a subpar season in 2022 or is injured.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjScvA82N3hslYwLWtMj1psOMNFNASKe_dTPU7xM56NLUxI30qTNPANYLswaJ87E9txrlfit_5PUxRbNtjmwghyOYygMwTqLfiWHuRsTQi12VPoWnwUAEOiK1z3ZEK91_1Q-L5EFJvrgW5TUzl0PcM5NMKb35Tvj0JCtIDTEqhGTkHAkjan4bPwjSNViw/s640/baseball-gc7718d422_640.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="421" data-original-width="640" height="211" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjScvA82N3hslYwLWtMj1psOMNFNASKe_dTPU7xM56NLUxI30qTNPANYLswaJ87E9txrlfit_5PUxRbNtjmwghyOYygMwTqLfiWHuRsTQi12VPoWnwUAEOiK1z3ZEK91_1Q-L5EFJvrgW5TUzl0PcM5NMKb35Tvj0JCtIDTEqhGTkHAkjan4bPwjSNViw/s320/baseball-gc7718d422_640.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span><p></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-71491579132411743702022-04-02T11:31:00.001-07:002022-04-02T11:31:20.797-07:00The 2022 MLB Season Could Be A Wild One<p> <span style="font-size: medium;">Baseball is back and I think 2022 will be one wild season. There are so many storylines Baseball Blogging Network will be following this season. New York will be a battle this season as both The Mets and The Yankees want top be called King of New York. Will be interesting to see how that plays out this season.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">The Los Angeles Dodgers keep adding to their impressive lineup and they have to be one of the favorites </span><span style="font-size: large;">to win the World Series this season. Will the Milwaukee Brewers finally make it to the Big Game? They have the pitching to do it, but will the hitting come along as well. We will have to wait and see how it works out for them.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Justin Verlander should be back this season and how about the DH. Will the DH make a real difference this season? There are so many teams that if they get hot at the right time could be a October surprise for the Dodgers or anyone else. This 2022 should be fun to watch so pull up a seat and enjoy the fun.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuExvRZV3pVuUegxPB6LAK7nwpfEv9aAxKZoa63El3mZ_k2p7VV4eBK7NOCva4D_O8-wyQ3XZmJ33WkmnvWpx_8GAP90CmAdrznQiVHgX7Q4jUq9mOaDeVn2aDfEVudRCxBVLVOzBkMWc8vZPeufoCdR6jJc0JpW0YUfI2KWUVjkl65b0Lgy-_7oxuYQ/s640/baseball-gc7718d422_640.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="421" data-original-width="640" height="211" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuExvRZV3pVuUegxPB6LAK7nwpfEv9aAxKZoa63El3mZ_k2p7VV4eBK7NOCva4D_O8-wyQ3XZmJ33WkmnvWpx_8GAP90CmAdrznQiVHgX7Q4jUq9mOaDeVn2aDfEVudRCxBVLVOzBkMWc8vZPeufoCdR6jJc0JpW0YUfI2KWUVjkl65b0Lgy-_7oxuYQ/s320/baseball-gc7718d422_640.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span><p></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-46013120631709760842022-03-30T15:12:00.002-07:002022-03-30T15:12:46.174-07:00What Team Gives Baker Mayfield The Best Chance For Success<p> <span style="font-size: medium;">The one thing we can say about Baker Mayfield is you either love him to death or hate him just as much. We do know Mayfield will not be the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns this upcoming season. Where could Baker Mayfield land? Is he the next Johnny Manziel or another first round bust. Let's look at some of these questions and how we see it here at Baseball Blogging Network.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">One of the things I've been hearing which is so wrong and that is Baker Mayfield is a bust. He is far from that and here is why. He had some good seasons in Cleveland. They were not his best, but they were not terrible either. People have to consider many factors when evaluating Baker Mayfield as a quarterback. Yes when he was healthy he was a Top10 quarterback in the NFL. Unhealthy and he was like most quarterbacks he was not very good.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Where could Baker Mayfield take his next snaps at? Some people are hinting once cut he could be with the Detroit Lions or the Pittsburgh Steelers. Both teams have shown interest in him and either one probably could work for Mayfield. If Mayfield wants to see his full potential he may need to be a backup for a year or two. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers would be a perfect landing spot for him and here is why.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Mayfield would be able to learn from Tom Brady for one or two seasons. The experience he would get from this is invaluable to him becoming a better player. The Buccaneers have the team in place that could plug Mayfield in and he could be an instant success. Offensively, the Buccaneers have talented receivers with one of the best offensive lines. They have a great offensive coaches with Byron Leftwich leading the way.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Baker Mayfield has to check his ego at the door and become a team player, but once he does once Tom Brady retires the keys to the team will be his. The question is can Baker Mayfield sit and learn from the master.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8dk_o0_1SsXEzRtGxSXRVXqls8FLQfZQNc3i385eNrQ1lVllr0DtyYh7PD9umcAWDcHO_ktESIQTkYfKRQSq1Cu-Ue7QFfPaVQxe7fhmkWEmyTgOE5SbnoN4mP3qd7zo2L1R7hco1vC9RWFWb5Yj66JDmJErpNMzKgm6VgE-vr0j7NCVPXoAkRXsYeg/s640/referee-g29444dd69_640.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="426" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8dk_o0_1SsXEzRtGxSXRVXqls8FLQfZQNc3i385eNrQ1lVllr0DtyYh7PD9umcAWDcHO_ktESIQTkYfKRQSq1Cu-Ue7QFfPaVQxe7fhmkWEmyTgOE5SbnoN4mP3qd7zo2L1R7hco1vC9RWFWb5Yj66JDmJErpNMzKgm6VgE-vr0j7NCVPXoAkRXsYeg/s320/referee-g29444dd69_640.jpg" width="213" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-64366224655838842732022-02-09T16:56:00.001-08:002022-02-09T16:56:17.474-08:00College Baseball And College Softball Comes To Baseball Blogging Network<p> There are many sports that seem not to get the coverage they need and I will try to fill that void just a little bit. I really didn't know what the WFA was so this was going to be a learning experience for me as well. I thought maybe the WFA had to do with professional wrestling, but it didn't and I was glad I learned about it.</p><p>The WFA is the Women's Football Alliance which is the largest and longest running competitive women's tackle football league in the world. Women's tackle football teams and leagues have been around for over four decades which I never knew. The WFA has broken many barriers with the National Championship Game being played in a NFL Stadium. Other barriers broken is 15 veteran WFA players have gotten coaching and scouting positions with NFL teams. As you can see the league is growing by leaps and bounds.</p><p>On January the WFA signed a television deal with ESPN to broadcast games. The WFA is entering its 13th season with over 60 teams in 4 divisions. By getting ESPN on board there will be more corporate sponsors that will be joining as well. This is a league that I will do more on in the coming weeks. Starting in April try to catch a WFA game near you. It sounds like a good time for everyone.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEge2xi8SXGzKGy2z1WOSVDwJfGh0taVMz7GucUxzlAsZTYByyXSAurPljX1WT1cp_bkayF70FSBZ05YLpein45a2LWUkzPokc64GyPef3tiTUdgVhMMGidGonnA0dvL4Hn8lu3ic92AbSMJJm48WJUQDl7ESnEkjjTVMtNMKAtfw2Cpkj8CUU9C62tw1w=s640" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="426" data-original-width="640" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEge2xi8SXGzKGy2z1WOSVDwJfGh0taVMz7GucUxzlAsZTYByyXSAurPljX1WT1cp_bkayF70FSBZ05YLpein45a2LWUkzPokc64GyPef3tiTUdgVhMMGidGonnA0dvL4Hn8lu3ic92AbSMJJm48WJUQDl7ESnEkjjTVMtNMKAtfw2Cpkj8CUU9C62tw1w=s320" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-74302749900330932682022-02-09T06:55:00.003-08:002022-02-09T06:55:43.809-08:00Will We Ever See Tom Brady Again In The NFL?<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhpmQeiwDoiw9pQhFbJTTeSth7JnKT8Kv7VJYP0dCum22ABM1EjhDp1xfF2rLsM9Xmukn3WbB5lUbuK2BhHERMBIrmmlzo_kPKWh8UglEVGzOqixQpzOzkOMTgAlsI34MkB8TnDyMYRrv5s6-trvo44dIq2ssP8rz_dl_TyMZqI7oI7HeCx4iCcXJuWmQ=s640" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="426" data-original-width="640" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhpmQeiwDoiw9pQhFbJTTeSth7JnKT8Kv7VJYP0dCum22ABM1EjhDp1xfF2rLsM9Xmukn3WbB5lUbuK2BhHERMBIrmmlzo_kPKWh8UglEVGzOqixQpzOzkOMTgAlsI34MkB8TnDyMYRrv5s6-trvo44dIq2ssP8rz_dl_TyMZqI7oI7HeCx4iCcXJuWmQ=s320" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p> <span style="background-color: white; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em;">There is no doubt that Tom Brady has had one of the best careers in the NFL, but could we see him again on the football field. According to Brady he has accomplished everything he did in his career without any regrets or has he. There are many people on the mindset that he could come back to football in a year or even sooner. Take Odell Beckham Jr and his start to the 2021–2022 was a crazy one. He blew out his knee last season and was coming back from that injury for the Cleveland Browns. Many people thought he would be an important part of the Browns run to the playoffs.</span></p><p class="vn vo uu vp b vq vr vs vt vu vv vw vx vy vz wa wb wc wd we wf wg wh wi wj wk uo hf" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="9177" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;">It didn’t happen as it seems Odell and Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield could never get on the right page. I do not know who’s fault it was, but in reality it was a horrible marriage on the football field. Even Odell’s dad chimed in with video evidence and shortly Odell was out of Cleveland faster then anyone could have imagine.</p><p class="vn vo uu vp b vq vr vs vt vu vv vw vx vy vz wa wb wc wd we wf wg wh wi wj wk uo hf" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="bb62" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;">Odell was a popular player in the Cleveland locker room and once he was gone the Browns went downhill fast. We do not know how much his departure impacted the Browns, and probably never will know.</p><p class="vn vo uu vp b vq vr vs vt vu vv vw vx vy vz wa wb wc wd we wf wg wh wi wj wk uo hf" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="ca65" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;">The Browns cut Odell and he got signed by the Los Angeles Rams which many people thought could be a mistake. Odell went there and became a model citizen and did what was asked of him. He wasn’t the guy with the most catches, but he carved out his niche in the offense. Like Odell or hate him the one thing you can say about him is when he is on the field he can play football. In the NFC Championship he amassed over 100 yards passing to help lead the Rams in the Super Bowl. If anyone thought Odell Beckham was a cancer to a team look no further to the Los Angeles Rams as proof he just wants to win.</p><p class="vn vo uu vp b vq vr vs vt vu vv vw vx vy vz wa wb wc wd we wf wg wh wi wj wk uo hf" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="ca65" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;"><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhoUFtZoimG6-3tstv04TaZrLoFG4Az_AE_pOomfwaV9BU3hgQy6Sazkk4PkjgghTva1miOZ954Z2whmpcgCDv915LEDaxkBPTSCkLebKt_u2aleTML7ujebXCLcuup7tHit8r54W7r18u3CwuHNU8MVDJ-QOjpmc1gkAgddtAVnTBsm4wWH1Plf_brWg=s640" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="426" data-original-width="640" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhoUFtZoimG6-3tstv04TaZrLoFG4Az_AE_pOomfwaV9BU3hgQy6Sazkk4PkjgghTva1miOZ954Z2whmpcgCDv915LEDaxkBPTSCkLebKt_u2aleTML7ujebXCLcuup7tHit8r54W7r18u3CwuHNU8MVDJ-QOjpmc1gkAgddtAVnTBsm4wWH1Plf_brWg=s320" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p class="vn vo uu vp b vq vr vs vt vu vv vw vx vy vz wa wb wc wd we wf wg wh wi wj wk uo hf" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="ca65" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;"><br /></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-68812321602113695992022-02-04T05:32:00.001-08:002022-02-04T05:32:23.936-08:00Brian Flores Hopes To Make Changes IN NFL Hiring Process<p> <span style="background-color: white; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em;">Brian Flores was the head football coach of the Miami Dolphins before being fired from the team. In the weeks that followed many things have been said about Flores some we just do not know if they are true or not. Players really have not supported him or took shots at him so it’s anyone’s guess. This week Brian Flores filed a lawsuit against some teams for their hiring practices as he has yet to receive a job offer since he has been fired. Does his lawsuit have merit? In this article we will take a look at it and why it could be successful and also a failure as well.</span></p><p class="vq vr ux vs b vt vu vv vw vx vy vz wa wb wc wd we wf wg wh wi wj wk wl wm wn ur hf" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="b39c" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;">The Rooney Rule is what the lawsuit will be based on. What the Rooney states is you must give minority candidates job interviews and be sincere in hiring them, when you bring them in for the interview. The NFL put this in place to try and get more minority hires as head coaches. Thus far the rule really hasn’t help but a mouthpiece that says we followed the rule when someone is hired. Some of the lawsuit is based on the Rooney Rule and this will be interesting how this plays out in the courtroom.</p><p class="vq vr ux vs b vt vu vv vw vx vy vz wa wb wc wd we wf wg wh wi wj wk wl wm wn ur hf" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="c07d" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;">Should Brian Flores have a job by now? The honest answer is yes. Everywhere he has coached he has made his teams competitive and Miami was no exception. Many people have said Brian Flores is tough to work with and that could be true. Most winning head coaches at times can be tough to work with no matter whom it happens to be.</p><p class="vq vr ux vs b vt vu vv vw vx vy vz wa wb wc wd we wf wg wh wi wj wk wl wm wn ur hf" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="b29c" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;">Brian Flores has several job interviews and every time the owners said great interview, but he was never offered a job. Is he qualified? Brian Flores is more then qualified for any job in the NFL. The Rooney Rule was suppose to fix the problem, but in reality I think it has did the opposite. Teams are less inclined to hire coaches of minority as they feel they are being forced to hire a certain individual.</p><p class="vq vr ux vs b vt vu vv vw vx vy vz wa wb wc wd we wf wg wh wi wj wk wl wm wn ur hf" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="7284" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;">Owners for the most part are from old school hiring and do not like to change what they do. Most coaches in the NFL these days are rehires from other teams that lost their jobs or did well in other places. Most minority coaches are overlooked because it’s the mentality that these owners have right now. It’s not fair, but it is how it works. Maybe a lawsuit is something that needs to be the catalyst to get teams and the NFL to change things.</p><p class="vq vr ux vs b vt vu vv vw vx vy vz wa wb wc wd we wf wg wh wi wj wk wl wm wn ur hf" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="dc86" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;">It seems one thing that has happen with this lawsuit already is other coaches have come forward to tell their stories as well, Brian Flores is not the only coach who has had this problem. Bringing this out in the open is exactly what we need to do to make the NFL understand there is a problem in the hiring process.</p><p class="vq vr ux vs b vt vu vv vw vx vy vz wa wb wc wd we wf wg wh wi wj wk wl wm wn ur hf" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="53e3" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;">Brian Flores is giving up a lot to go forward with this lawsuit. He may never coach in the NFL again. This is bigger then a job this is about doing the right thing and changing the NFL hiring process. There are so many great minority prospects there is no excuse for not having more minority hiring then we get every year. At worst, maybe this will shed light on the practicing of keeping good guys who are qualified with out a coaching opportunity. The other thing this has also showed us is the art of tanking can be a viable option for teams. Tanking should never be part of the NFL and teams should always strive to win. Its cheating the fans who pay hard earned money to see teams. Let’s hope The NFL makes some changes and this lawsuit makes some changes in the process.</p><p class="vq vr ux vs b vt vu vv vw vx vy vz wa wb wc wd we wf wg wh wi wj wk wl wm wn ur hf" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="53e3" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;"><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgtBDzDHK93kDG3XnKcupZywuOT-SDaxcHrGWHt9LdfqmM2Kd0fCE0-jO7C5DGiCxLSrTMlkcn0UVpmI-3p7lR3km51JK0I639GoUOR_7-LXTG3_eaCjc9wWHuCmIezwKEAMdUgVuhHFNORB-FIReY4749TSVSRJOFk7hQxVQjU85P_iOX6S8-WI6lgeQ=s640" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="426" data-original-width="640" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgtBDzDHK93kDG3XnKcupZywuOT-SDaxcHrGWHt9LdfqmM2Kd0fCE0-jO7C5DGiCxLSrTMlkcn0UVpmI-3p7lR3km51JK0I639GoUOR_7-LXTG3_eaCjc9wWHuCmIezwKEAMdUgVuhHFNORB-FIReY4749TSVSRJOFk7hQxVQjU85P_iOX6S8-WI6lgeQ=s320" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p class="vq vr ux vs b vt vu vv vw vx vy vz wa wb wc wd we wf wg wh wi wj wk wl wm wn ur hf" data-selectable-paragraph="" id="53e3" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #292929; font-family: charter, Georgia, Cambria, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: -0.003em; line-height: 32px; margin: 2em 0px -0.46em; word-break: break-word;"><br /></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-74184301694668120662022-01-30T17:37:00.001-08:002022-01-30T17:37:36.202-08:00Joe Burrow Leads Bengals To Super Bowl <p> Coming into the 2021-2022 season no one thought Zac Taylor would last all season as the Cincinnati Bengals head coach, but now he is in the Super Bowl. Thanks to a defense that played lights out in the second half, and quarterback Joe Burrow making the runs and the passes when needed to get a 27-24 overtime victory over Kansas City. Now I never gave these Bengals much of a chance this season, but they have proved so many of us wrong.</p><p>No one had Cincinnati winning their division or even being a playoff team. During the season they had some bad losses, but they stuck together and slowly became a very good football team. Across the board on offense and defense they are impressive. They went to Kansas City twice this season and came away with wins. That is tough to do against Patrick Mahomes, but it didn't matter to them as they had sheer confidence in their resolve.</p><p>When Joe Burrow was taken No.1 overall everyone knew he was talented, but this season he has surpassed all expectations and now he is headed to the Super Bowl. Burrow leads a Cincinnati team that hasn't been to the Super Bowl in 30 plus years and the City couldn't be happier. I hate to tell people this the Cincinnati Bengals could be in the playoffs for a number of years with Joe Burrow leading the offense.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiQrBSo_Xhfdp-fDBGG6WjFpeXMPD89yEzCzu37dCJYdegrLTAFxfoxnLX9UjICLUR87pskbUtkC08t1k0kMyxgzJlRq3nqcgKJed5zI42hw7kglE7rXZj45GmoBVFb8Hzee141vPYLlsqt1hw60V0GNnm91TQiSuL5KXu2ecKpF2s8WA-7E8yhd_Sfrw=s640" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="426" data-original-width="640" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiQrBSo_Xhfdp-fDBGG6WjFpeXMPD89yEzCzu37dCJYdegrLTAFxfoxnLX9UjICLUR87pskbUtkC08t1k0kMyxgzJlRq3nqcgKJed5zI42hw7kglE7rXZj45GmoBVFb8Hzee141vPYLlsqt1hw60V0GNnm91TQiSuL5KXu2ecKpF2s8WA-7E8yhd_Sfrw=s320" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-15970921105569278522021-06-23T09:21:00.001-07:002021-06-23T09:21:53.870-07:00Freddy Peralta Has Shown He Can Be An Elite Pitcher.<p>Freddy Peralta over the years has slowly progressed through the organization and has shown now what he can do. The last few years Peralta has struggled, but the Brewers has faith in him. This season he has rewarded with the Brewers with a 7-2 start and one of the most consistent starters on the staff.</p><p>Will Freddy Peralta get his first All-Star nod this season? I think he has a great chance the way he is going. Josh Hader right now is an automatic bid and Peralta is in the running for a spot. Corbin Byrnes and Brandon Woodruff are also in the running for a spot.</p><p>When Peralta came up he had only one pitch, but has worked on a variety of pitches. No longer can hitters look for just want pitch from Peralta anymore. The one thing that I love about Peralta is his desire to succeed. When he walks a guy he gets upset. That’s the kind of pitcher you want on your staff a guy who wants to be the best every time out.</p><p>Peralta is still very young and has been good years ahead of him. For the Brewers he is still at a great price as they extended him awhile back. These days young starters are hard to come by, but so far Peralta has been a gem for the Brewers.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-19273211301405653392021-03-29T17:00:00.004-07:002021-03-29T17:01:42.138-07:00Michigan Basketball Carving It's Own Niche In College Basketball<p> When Juwan Howard was given the reins of the Michigan Basketball program no one really knew how it was going to work out. Yes, Howard was a Michigan guy but that is not a given that he would have success. Could he get guys to buy in on what he was selling. As a player, Howard was a guy who did whatever it took to win games. Would his persona be what Michigan Basketball would become in 2021?</p><p>Along the way, there are always bumps in the road and Juwan Howard has been able to gravitate the Covid-19 waters and his team is playing deep into the tournament. Howard has a very talented team that has played well together. I've been able to watch of there tournament games and you can see his imprint on the program. Michigan moves the ball well and plays team defense. Players have that tough mentality that Howard play with when he was younger.</p><p>Michigan could make it all the way to the NCAA Championship game because they have a coach who believes in them and who has been there before. This team has grown over the last two months of the season. They have been battle-tested and the sky is the limit for them. No one expected Michigan to be this good this fast under Juwan Howard. Of course, he was part of the Fab5 so he definitely knows about winning and it's showing.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBLLcMy52PW352az6SjP0HfKK2Fxjm2ONYNiUo7EDwT2S1gQZRGNV5u3-1SmIjvN6uInGT06Eupvdzki3q8unQOzkJfRKVbC7SGYINCRhXsbqdYAWVQ6sU-M05BtD9ooJIKopyydU6bFBa/s1280/shot-clock-2846843_1280.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBLLcMy52PW352az6SjP0HfKK2Fxjm2ONYNiUo7EDwT2S1gQZRGNV5u3-1SmIjvN6uInGT06Eupvdzki3q8unQOzkJfRKVbC7SGYINCRhXsbqdYAWVQ6sU-M05BtD9ooJIKopyydU6bFBa/s320/shot-clock-2846843_1280.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><gdiv id="ginger-floatingG-container" style="left: 0px; position: absolute; top: 0px;"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG ginger-floatingG-closed" style="display: none;"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-disabled-main"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip">Enable Ginger</gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-offline-main"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip"><em>Cannot connect to Ginger</em> Check your internet connection<br /> or reload the browser</gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-enabled-main"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-disable"><ga></ga><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip">Disable in this text field</gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool"><ga class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-edit">Edit</ga><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip">Edit in Ginger</gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-mistakes"><ga><span class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-mistakes-count"></span></ga><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip">Edit in Ginger</gdiv></gdiv></gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-contentPopup"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-contentPopup-wrap"><ga class="ginger-floatingG-contentPopup-close">×</ga><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-contentPopup-frame"><iframe scrolling="no"></iframe></gdiv></gdiv></gdiv></gdiv></gdiv>Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7701745025923112650.post-82594433371940939862021-03-29T07:01:00.002-07:002021-03-29T07:06:14.495-07:00Ted Simmons One Player People Forget About Behind The Plate<p> Here as Baseball Blogging Network, we try to give guys some love people sometimes overlook or forget about. People know I love Milwaukee Brewers players and one guy often overlooked is Ted Simmons. When you talk about great catchers names like Berra, Bench, and Mike Pizza are mentioned, but you will be hard-pressed to find someone to name Ted Simmons. Why isn't Ted Simmons named more when you talk about catchers. Let's take a look at Ted Simmons and his career and see what he accomplished.</p><p>Ted Simmons was a Silver Slugger winner and an 8-time All-Star along with finally getting elected into the Hall Of Fame in 2020 by the veteran's committee. Simmons played a total of 21 years which consisted of 13 in St. Louis, 5 in Milwaukee, and 3 with the Atlanta Braves. During his career, he had some impressive numbers for a catcher that many people seem to dismiss.</p><p>Six times he hit 20 or more home runs and three times he hit 100 or more RBI's in a season. He played 2,456 games and garnered 2,472 hits and 8 times he batted .300 or better in a season. Simmons numbers were very consistent across the board and was a very good defensive catcher. Being a switch hitter also made him a very dangerous hitter and a guy you could play against anyone. His 182 switch-hitting home runs rank #1 in the National League.</p><p>Ted Simmons may not be a household name to many, but during his time in the MLB he was a gritty tough ballplayer that you could count on day after day. He gave you everything he had and now he is in the Hall Of Fame. Well deserved for a guy who played 21 years in Major League Baseball.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM-kdogYGfn33Y8p2cIlVkpcKX2yOkSpdWGlpqM7L2MAo4xUUrY94Nbtc1ByAtSdAuS1jo6HjYIjheWLLiFZBAn1NB7Nj2JmovLEZLFGjeB-kv0YjD6KCtVVRwYIWPtPRCOwxcLfpYUlRa/s274/aqw.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="184" data-original-width="274" height="247" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM-kdogYGfn33Y8p2cIlVkpcKX2yOkSpdWGlpqM7L2MAo4xUUrY94Nbtc1ByAtSdAuS1jo6HjYIjheWLLiFZBAn1NB7Nj2JmovLEZLFGjeB-kv0YjD6KCtVVRwYIWPtPRCOwxcLfpYUlRa/w368-h247/aqw.jpeg" width="368" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p><br /></p><gdiv id="ginger-floatingG-container" style="left: 0px; position: absolute; top: 0px;"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG ginger-floatingG-closed" style="display: none;"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-disabled-main"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip">Enable Ginger</gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-offline-main"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip"><em>Cannot connect to Ginger</em> Check your internet connection<br /> or reload the browser</gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-enabled-main"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-disable"><ga></ga><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip">Disable in this text field</gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool"><ga class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-edit">Edit</ga><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip">Edit in Ginger</gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-mistakes"><ga><span class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-mistakes-count"></span></ga><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip">Edit in Ginger</gdiv></gdiv></gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-contentPopup"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-contentPopup-wrap"><ga class="ginger-floatingG-contentPopup-close">×</ga><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-contentPopup-frame"><iframe scrolling="no"></iframe></gdiv></gdiv></gdiv></gdiv></gdiv><gdiv id="ginger-floatingG-container" style="left: 0px; position: absolute; top: 0px;"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG ginger-floatingG-closed" style="display: none;"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-disabled-main"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip">Enable Ginger</gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-offline-main"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip"><em>Cannot connect to Ginger</em> Check your internet connection<br /> or reload the browser</gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-enabled-main"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-disable"><ga></ga><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip">Disable in this text field</gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool"><ga class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-edit">Edit</ga><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip">Edit in Ginger</gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-mistakes"><ga><span class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-mistakes-count"></span></ga><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip">Edit in Ginger</gdiv></gdiv></gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-contentPopup"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-contentPopup-wrap"><ga class="ginger-floatingG-contentPopup-close">×</ga><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-contentPopup-frame"><iframe scrolling="no"></iframe></gdiv></gdiv></gdiv></gdiv></gdiv><br />Kenneth Watkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12288045238012826040noreply@blogger.com0
