Will Tim Tebow Trade Come Back To Haunt The Broncos?

The Denver Broncos sent Tim Tebow packing once they knew they had Peyton Manning under lock and key. Was this a wise move by Denver? In my opinion this move could come back to haunt the Denver Broncos. It is a good move if the Broncos win a Super Bowl, but what happens if Manning gets hurt again. They will be in a lot of trouble. Tebow could have learned a lot of things from Peyton Manning to improve his game.

Trading Tebow away is not a move I like by the Broncos. John Elway made a lot of great moves, but I do not think this was one of his better moves. Getting Manning was a great, but having a good back-up is also critical. I think Tim Tebow would have been an excellent backup plan, but now that is not possible. I guess we will have to see how this all plays out for Tim Tebow.

Peyton Manning And Colts Headed For Ugly Break-up

It looks like the Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning could be headed for a very ugly public divorce it seems. Peyton has been cleared to practice by his doctors, but the Colts have not cleared him. This is interesting to say the least, and gives me a good idea that Peyton Manning's day as a Colt is numbered.

With the Colts planning on drafting Andrew Luck it looks like the divorce will happen between the Colts and Peyton Manning. The sad part is it should not go down this way, but it looks like it will. The other bad part of this whole thing is Andrew Luck could take the brunt of all of this from the Colts fans if he replaces Manning.

No matter how you look at it if the Colts cut Peyton Manning it will be a sad day in Indianapolis. The fans will lose out on having a quarterback Peyton Manning finishing his career in Indy. Peyton has given so much to the fans and the sad part is he deserves a better fate. Let's hope this works out for all parties concerned.

Is Andrew Luck Pushing Peyton Manning Out The Door?

Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck most likely will be the choice of the Indianapolis Colts and he has made it cleared he would like to start as a rookie. Now he also said that he would like to learn from Peyton Manning as well. Well, Andrew Luck you really cannot have it both ways. Could Andrew Luck's desire to start push Peyton Manning out of Indianapolis? It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Today, Peyton Manning was cleared to start playing again, so that should complicate it even more. The Colts could have two very good quarterbacks, but only room for one player. This reminds me a lot about the same situation like they had in Green Bay. Brett Favre was eventually let go and I think that is what will happen to Peyton Manning. Andrew Luck is younger and the Colts will look at their future and Peyton will not be around forever. As much as it pains me to say this I just do not see Peyton Manning finishing his career in Indy!

What Do The Colts Do With Peyton Manning?

The Indianapolis Colts have a tough decision on their shoulders these days. Do they keep Peyton Manning or save money and cut him loose? A roster bonus is due Peyton Manning soon, so they will make that decision soon. Manning has indicated he will be ready to play this coming season, but the Colts also plan on drafting Andrew Luck out of Stanford as well. This means decision time will be tough for the Irsay family and the Colts. Peyton has been like a son to them and cutting him loose can be a double edged sword for this organization.

The decision will basically come down to one thing for the Colts do they want to start a new era or are they happy with the old one. When they fired their coach they could be leaning towards a new era which would mean Andrew Luck. If the Colts go that direction they will have part of their fan base that will not be very happy. The only way they would not would be if Luck brought them a Super Bowl. In my opinion, I think they should keep Peyton Manning, but only time will tell how this will work out. No matter what, it is a tough decision for the Irsay's to have to make.

Colts Need To Make Sure Peyton Manning Does Not Take The Field this Season

Peyton Manning has been itching to get back in the lineup as he has resumed throwing the football. For the Indianapolis Colts they are looking at a season in which they most likely will not win a game. This is something that Peyton Manning does not like one bit. Hopefully common sense will prevail and the Colts will not march him onto the field this coming season. Many times, teams rush players back and there is no need to put Peyton Manning on the field this season.

For the Colts keeping him on the bench makes a lot more sense. They will get the No.1 draft pick and a player that can help their team for years to come. Sending Peyton Manning out on the field could get him hurt. Let him miss a whole season and come ready in 2012. I would rather have a losing season than to lose Peyton Manning for another year. Hopefully, the Colts will not try to get a win by sending out their star and risk another senseless injury.

Will We See Peyton Manning This Season?

Indianapolis Colts fans are not use to an 0-2 start, and as the losses mount up the question will be is Peyton Manning going to play in 2011. If the Colts continue to lose and no improvement is made the Colts may just shut down Manning for the year. Once the Colts drop out of playoff contention why take a chance with Manning. The Colts brought in Kerry Collins because they knew Peyton Manning could miss most of the season.

The chances of us seeing Manning goes down with ever loss. I doubt if we will see Peyton Manning this season unless the Colts have a chance to make the playoffs. The Colts won't risk his health just to win a few games. The way it looks right now we will probably not see Peyton Manning suit up and that is disappointing for the league and Colts fans everywhere.

Are The Colts Screwed Without Peyton Manning?

With Peyton Manning having his second neck surgery many Colts fans are probably down in the dumps. They should not be as it is not the end of the world. Peyton Manning will be back, and in reality Colts fans do not want him back until he is 100 percent healthy anyways. Now where does this leave the Indianapolis Colts and their chances in 2011.

Now I will admit the Colts are not as good when Peyton Manning is not under center, but it is also not the end of the world either. Kerry Collins is more than capable of getting the Colts in position to win week after week. He knows what it takes to win games and will do whatever it takes to get those wins. If Colts fans give Collins a chance they will find out that he is a capable back-up that will fill in nicely until No.18 gets back under center. The Colts will be fine, and another playoff appearance should also be within reach.

Colts Convince Kerry Collins To Come Out Of Retirement

With not knowing if Peyton Manning will be ready for the opener the Indianapolis Colts signed Kerry Collins to a contract. Collins had retired earlier in the year, but was convinced to come back by the Colts. Collins did have to get the green light from his wife though to make the comeback.

Kerry Collins give them a capable backup just in case Peyton Manning cannot go. Collins has played for Carolina, the New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, Oakland Raiders and Titans in 16 seasons. He has thrown for 40,441 yards with 206 touchdowns and 195 interceptions and was a two-time Pro Bowler (1996 and 2008). If Manning is not ready you have Collins which helps the Colts out to get the season started out on the right foot. It also gives Manning more time to heal if he needs that as well.

2011 Indianapolis Colts NFL Preview

In this 2011 NFL Preview we will take a look at the 2011 Indianapolis Colts and where they could end up this season. Just two years removed from A Super Bowl appearance the Colts want to get back to the big dance, but must stay healthy. One of the biggest problems the Colts had last year was injuries. If they want to do anything this season they must stay healthy.

Peyton Manning who had off-season surgery will not be ready when camp opens up. You can be rest assured though when the season rolls around he will be under center. The Colts retained K Adam Vinatieri and will make a strong push for RB Joseph Addai as well. The key for the Colts offense this season is to stay healthy. They cannot continue to hope Peyton Manning can bale them out. Guys like Dallas Clark, Austin Collie, and Pierre Garcon must stay healthy. If that happens the Colts will be fine on offense.

On defense the front seven for the Colts are not bad led by Dwight Freeney and Gary Brackett. Their problem is in the secondary and that is a big issue. Bob Sanders is no longer a Colt and the secondary is not very good right now. Unless they play better this season the Colts could give up a lot of pass plays down the field. The Colts need to bring in some experienced players to help out the younger ones in the secondary.

Overall, the Colts should again win this division as they still have Peyton Manning. As long as you have him at the helm you always have a chance to do something special. The problem is on defense and I do not know if they can overcome that deficiency to make it too the Super Bowl.
