Brewers Trade Zack Greinke To Angels For Prospects
Well it looks like the Milwaukee Brewers are giving up on this season with the move of pitcher Zack Greinke. The Brewers trade Greinke to the Angels for three minor league prospects. The three prospects are
rookie shortstop Jean Segura and two Double-A pitchers. The three prospects were some of the better ones in the Angels organization. I do not like the trade for a few reasons as the Brewers should know by now pitching wins championships.
Milwaukee traded Greinke away and that is a shame as he is a very good pitcher. Finding pitchers like Greinke are rare these days, so when you get them you should hold on to them very tight. Yes, Milwaukee got some good prospects for them, but in reality nothing that will help them right away. It looks for the Brewers fans this could be another one of those lost seasons as they struggle to get back into the playoff race.

Joe Paterno Statue Removed By Penn State
Now for me this comes as a shock, but Penn State has removed the Joe Paterno statue from campus. This shows how much pressure that Penn State was under regarding the statue. They university has decided to leave his name on the library, but his statue will not longer be displayed. This also shows that they thought Joe Paterno should have done more than he did and it was dividing the university.
Removing the statue was probably best as it let's the university move on quicker. It is a shame it had to come to this, but Penn State had to do something as it was becoming a flaming point for the University. Hopefully, by removing the statue now the University, community, and students can look forward to the new school year. By leaving the name on the library it still gives Paterno credit for all he did do for the University. It's sad it ended this way, but there really was no choice.

Are The Miami Hurricanes In Trouble Again?
It seems the Miami Hurricanes college football program keeps making news for all the wrong reasons. Yahoo sports is reporting that the program could be in trouble again for infractions in recruiting. The NCAA is looking into it and it will be interesting to see what will come of it. Current coach Al Golden has said that he has done nothing wrong and has followed all the rules.
It seems these new allegations surround Sean Allen former equipment manager who was former right hand man of Nevin Shapiro. Shapiro was the guy who caused all the troubles for Miami before Golden got the head coaching job. Let's hope for the Hurricanes sake that the allegations are unfounded. If not this program could get hit hard again and that is something they really do not need right now. Only time will tell what will happen, but right now it does not look real good for the Miami Hurricanes football program.
