Will Junior Be Able To Hold His Spot And Make The Chase This Season?
With two races left there is some tense time in the Dale Earnhardt Jr camp. He sits 9th in points and with two races left will he hold on. The bottom line is if he finishes above his competitors that are position below him he will be fine. The problem he has though, a DNF could knock him out of The Chase. This is why Junior must still run hard every week to make it. The odds look good he will make the Chase, but does it matter really.

California Wins Thrilling Little League World Series Title Over Japan 2-1
California got a single with the bases loaded from Nick Pratto as California beat Japan by a score of 2-1 to take the Little League World Series. Braydon Salzman pitched a complete-game three-hitter for the win and struck out nine. Japan starter Shoto Totsuka struck out five over 4 1-3 innings, giving up a homer to right to California slugger Hagen Danner.
It's always great to watch the kids because the play the game for the love of it not for the money as they get none. These games always seem close and you sit on your seat on every pitch and every play. This is what baseball is all about. There is at least one sport left that does things the right way. The Little League World Series is always a good time no matter what country you are from.

Colts Convince Kerry Collins To Come Out Of Retirement
With not knowing if Peyton Manning will be ready for the opener the Indianapolis Colts signed Kerry Collins to a contract. Collins had retired earlier in the year, but was convinced to come back by the Colts. Collins did have to get the green light from his wife though to make the comeback.
Kerry Collins give them a capable backup just in case Peyton Manning cannot go. Collins has played for Carolina, the New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, Oakland Raiders and Titans in 16 seasons. He has thrown for 40,441 yards with 206 touchdowns and 195 interceptions and was a two-time Pro Bowler (1996 and 2008). If Manning is not ready you have Collins which helps the Colts out to get the season started out on the right foot. It also gives Manning more time to heal if he needs that as well.

Can Terrelle Pryor Help The Raiders?
It should not come as a shock that Terrelle Pryor went to the Raiders in the third round of the NFL supplemental draft. People can say what they want about Pryor, but he is a talented young man. His judgement in college at times was bad, but a fresh start is probably what he needs. The Oakland Raiders are a good fit for Pryor for a few different reasons. First the Raiders need stability at quarterback which is something they have not had in a very long time. Pryor can give that to them. He also can become the face of the franchise which is what the Raiders need as well. Pryor can become a leader and will lead by example which is important as well. Kyle Busch Loses License For 45 Days For Speeding
Kyle Busch speeds away from his competition on the racetrack, but in a North Carolina Courtroom his speeding cost him his license for 45 days. He also was given $1,000 dollar fine, placed on a year of unsupervised probation and ordered to do 30 hours of community service with the B.R.A.K.E.S. (Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe) program that he already had committed to with NHRA star Doug Herbert.
On May 24 Kyle Busch was charged going 128 mph in a 45 mph speed zone on a rural road near Mooresville, N.C. It seems Kyle Busch forgot that on the race track there are basically no rules, but on the public road there happens to be. Now with this ruling hopefully Busch can put this behind him and move on.
On May 24 Kyle Busch was charged going 128 mph in a 45 mph speed zone on a rural road near Mooresville, N.C. It seems Kyle Busch forgot that on the race track there are basically no rules, but on the public road there happens to be. Now with this ruling hopefully Busch can put this behind him and move on.

Does The Miami Hurricanes Deserve The Death Penalty?
Well, as more comes out it seems the Miami Hurricanes will probably be the second school to receive the NCAA's death penalty. Do they deserve it? I guess it all depends on which side of the fence you are on, but with as many people who knew about it how can you avoid it. The problem with the Miami Hurricane's program is it has been crooked for years and everyone has known this for some time. It is a surprise to me it has taken so long for them to get caught.
Miami football had been one of the elite programs and now we all know why many of the top players came to Miami. It was not just for the football, but all the extras that were given to top players. Now I am sure not every player got things, but the majority did. The death penalty will kill this program, and I do not know if they would be able to survive. I am sure they will get a severe penalty, but Hurricane fans are hoping they escape the death penalty as SMU really has never fully recovered from it.

Miami Hurricanes Had Fun But The Punishment Could Be Severe From NCAA
For the last few months the NCAA has been on the University of Miami investigating allegations that the football program was doing things they should not have been doing. Former booster Nevin Shapiro, now serving 20 years in federal prison, claims he treated players to sex parties, nightclub outings, cars and other gifts. According to Shapiro, he helped around 72 players to all the free goodies. Now he sits in a federal prison and is singing like a bird.
The Miami Hurricanes are in some serious trouble if what Shapiro is true and the NCAA comes to that conclusion. With all that has been released so far this could be a big penalty coming the Hurricanes way. Now I am sure others had to know about it, but they just turned the other cheek. It was more important to skirt the rules and win games than to do the right thing. I guess now they wish they had done it the other way around.

Colt McCoy Grabs Brett Favre For Some QB Teaching
During the strike Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy could not get help from any coaches, but he did seek out Brett Favre for some help. McCoy wanted to get up to speed on the West Coast offense the Browns run, and what better teacher than Brett Favre. McCoy learned a lot from the master on how to run the offense, but he probably also learned more about how to handle different things as well.
No matter if you love him or hate him Brett Favre is a master of the West Coast offense and handling the media and his own players. This is why the time spent with Favre was well spent by McCoy. These days it is hard to find someone else who knows about playing quarterback than Brett Favre. It was a good move on Colt McCoy’s part and should help him become a much better quarterback.

John Kasay Thanks Carolina Panther Fans
Now you do not see this too often from a player, but John Kasay is a special player. He values families and relationships and the fans as well. Kasay is a free agent and wanted to thank the Carolina Panther fans for all their support during his time in Carolina. A class act by a classy football player. Below is the letter.
Dear Panther Fans,
I wanted to personally write this letter to every Carolina Panther fan. Words cannot express how truly thankful my family and I are for the most wonderful 16 years of our lives.
We came to the Panthers as a young family with a 3-month-old baby. We leave with 4 children, 2 of whom are in high school. In between, you have loved and cheered and blessed us way more than we ever deserved. The only thing I could offer in return was the promise that I would try my best, every day, to make you proud.
Thank you for your encouragement when I failed. Thank you for the celebrations when we won. And most of all, thank you for letting me leave with a treasture-trove of memories that time cannot erase.
It is my hope that the greatest years in Panthers history are still to come. A franchise decorated with numerous Lombardi Trophies. Dozens of Hall-of-Fame players. And a region that swells with pride whenever they speak of their beloved Panthers.

2011 Cincinnati Bengals NFL Preview
Time for the 2011 NFL Preview of the Cincinnati Bengals and it could be a very long season for Bengals fans this coming season. There are many different changes in store for the Bengals and not for the good I am afraid. Let's take a look at the Bengals in 2011.
First we have to take a look at the offense which is a mess to say the least. Carson Palmer has stated he will not be back to quarterback the Bengals and wants to be traded. The Bengals have no plans to trade him so right now Andy Dalton and Bruce Gradkowski are the quarterbacks of the future for the Bengals. Chad Johnson has been traded and Terrell Owens will not be back so the load will fall on A.J. Green and Jordan Shipley to catch the ball. Cedric Benson will be back to carry the ball and that will help.
On defense the Bengals are getting better and have some talent. The main problem they will have is they will be on the field too much. With the offense the Bengals have right now the defense will be expected to do a lot and I do not know if they can handle that right now. They are young and will be tested this season, and I just do not think over a 16 game season they will hold up.

2011 Oakland Raiders NFL Preview
It's time for another NFL Preview and today we are going to look at the silver and black Oakland Raiders. Last season they played much better than most fans are use too. This is why going into 2011 there is high hopes for Raider Nation. Let us look at the 2011 Oakland Raiders and what we can expect from them.
The Raiders have a good offensive line, wide receivers, and running backs. There problem the last few years has been at quarterback and that will be the same problem this year as well. Jason Campbell and Trent Edwards will fight for the starting job, but I do not think either one will be the answer for the Raiders. They need a guy who has proven he can win on a consistent basis and neither one of these quarterbacks have done that just yet.
On defense the Raiders have been getting better, but will feel the loss of Nnamdi Asomugha at corner. The Raiders are young on defense with some veterans mixed in. I like what the Raiders are doing on defense and they should be good on that side of the ball for a few years.

Dwight Howard Wants More Noise In Amway Arena Magic Fans
Dwight Howard was interacting with fans when a fan admitted that 85 percent of the time fans don't cheer as loud as they could. The truth is that did not sit well with Dwight Howard as he wants them as loud as possible from game 1 to the playoffs. Howard says he gives 110 percent every night no matter who the Magic are playing to the fans and he wants just as much back. Whoa Dwight Howard let's get real for a moment here.
First I have watched a number of your games and there has been times you have not given 110 percent. You may think you have, but the tape does not lie. I am sure you try hard, but no player can say they give there all on every play it just does not happen. I will agree with you the crowds should be louder, but that won't happen unless they want to do it.
People in the stands pay for their tickets and have the right to cheer, boo, or just sit and do nothing. That is their right when they plunk down their money for the ticket. Getting Amway as loud as possible would be nice, but the chances it happens night after night is really just a pipe dream. Mr. Howard be happy with the fans that yell and scream as getting them all to do just isn't happening.

2011 Kansas City Chiefs NFL Preview
Today, we are looking at the 2011 Kansas City Chiefs, and the 2011 season could prove very interesting for them and their fans. Kansas City is going off a season that seen them make the playoffs. Kansas City was 7-1 at home which was one of the keys to their success last season.
This coming year the Chiefs will need similar seasons from quarterback Matt Cassell, running back Jamaal Charles, and wideout Dwayne Bowe. If the Chiefs can get similar performances in 2011 they should be fine on offense. The key is these three players must stay healthy and not miss any games.
On defense the Chiefs need good years from Glenn Dorsey and Eric Berry. The defense can be a little inconsistent at times, but with Romeo Crennel handling them they should be fine in 2011. Crennel can coach defense with the best of them and will have them playing at a high level.
Many people think the Chiefs will be as good as last year or better, but I do not buy into that thinking. They won many games as people did not take them seriously. This season will be a lot tougher and we will see what they are made of. The Chiefs are talented and should contend for the AFC West title again.
This coming year the Chiefs will need similar seasons from quarterback Matt Cassell, running back Jamaal Charles, and wideout Dwayne Bowe. If the Chiefs can get similar performances in 2011 they should be fine on offense. The key is these three players must stay healthy and not miss any games.
On defense the Chiefs need good years from Glenn Dorsey and Eric Berry. The defense can be a little inconsistent at times, but with Romeo Crennel handling them they should be fine in 2011. Crennel can coach defense with the best of them and will have them playing at a high level.
Many people think the Chiefs will be as good as last year or better, but I do not buy into that thinking. They won many games as people did not take them seriously. This season will be a lot tougher and we will see what they are made of. The Chiefs are talented and should contend for the AFC West title again.

Is Nebraska Ready For The Big Ten?
All the contracts have been sign and now Nebraska must get ready for Big Ten play shortly. Are the Cornhuskers and their fans over confident entering the Big Ten? Many people wonder if Nebraska can adjust to playing in different venues and a different style of college football. The truth is the Big Ten style actually fits into the mode that Nebraska has played for many years. Line up and see who buckles first.
Running the ball has always been something Nebraska has done well and they will continue to do it in the Big Ten nothing will change there. The one thing that Nebraska will have to get use to is the pride factor that each Big Ten team has and will show them week after week. Big Ten teams know Nebraska is good, and they want to prove they can play with them on a consistent basis. Big Ten Legends Preview: Your Winner Is?
Today we will look at the Big Ten Legends Division and predict the winner and where others will finish. This is an interesting division and should be fun to watch for Big Ten fans all season long. Let's get started with the preview and crown the Legends Big Ten Winner.

It seems Minnesota always struggles in college football and being in the legends division does not help them one bit. The biggest problem for the Gophers is they just do not have enough talent to compete and it will be another dismal year in Minnesota.

2011 San Diego Chargers NFL Preview
The San Diego Chargers have high expectations, but they have that every year and it seems they never reach it. San Diego always starts slow it seems, but picks it up towards the end and they cannot continue to do that. The one thing the San Diego Chargers must do in 2011 and that is be more consistent on both sides of the ball.
On offense the Chargers have one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in Phillip Rivers. He can do anything you ask of him and has emerged as a team leader in the process. The one area that the Chargers need to improve on is being able to run the ball an area they struggled in last season. They have some talented wide receivers and one of the best tight ends in Antonio Gates.
The defense is something last season the Chargers can build on. Ranked No.1 based on yards per game given up. The problem for the Chargers were on special teams where they gave up plenty of big plays that put them in bad situations. This cannot happen this season if the Chargers want to contend.

Adam Scott And Steve Williams Get Last Laugh
Adam Scott played virtually mistake free this weekend at Firestone and captured his first World Title. Scott was very happy with the win, but maybe his caddy was even more happier for him. Steve Williams caddie for Adam Scott after be let go by Tiger Woods. Tiger Woods also played in the tournament, but struggled for the most part.
Steve Williams was all smiles and called this is great victory as a caddie. Considering all the times that he won with Woods you can tell he harbors resentment for being let go like he was. I look for Scott and Williams to win a lot more times and I am sure he will continue to harbor ill will towards Woods.

Brett Favre Tells Miami No Thanks
The Miami Dolphins are so desperate for quarterback help even the drop of Brett Favre does not seem to help. Favre who is retired came out to say he is not interested in playing football for the Miami Dolphins. For Dolphin fans that was a blow to them. as they would do anything to have a big name quarterback leading their team.
Right now the Dolphins have Chad Henne leading them and most Dolphin fans boo him on the practice field these days. You really cannot blame Dolphin fans who have not had a good quarterback since the days of Dan Marino. All Miami fans want is someone they can attach to that will show up every week and give them a good performance. That is not Chad Henne and Dolphin fans know it.

Why Taylor Martinez Needs A Passing Game To Take That Next Step
Taylor Martinez came onto the scene last year an made an impact no Cornhusker fan could have expected or even dreamed about. For some time Martinez was being mentioned as a Heisman Trophy candidate, but after some injuries that dream was gone. If Nebraska has envisions of a National Championship they must keep Taylor Martinez healthy this season. Last season, Martinez threw for 1,631 yards last season and rushed for 1,195 yards. Those were great numbers, but could have been a lot better. If Taylor Martinez wants to take the next step the Cornhuskers he must have a passing game.
Last season Nebraska expected too much from Martinez. Early in the season he was able to make big plays, but later in the season teams knew he would not hurt them with his arm. That will need to change if Martinez and the Huskers have National Championship ideas. By getting a passing game it will also limit the hits Martinez will have to take, which should cut down on the injuries. Nebraska Joined Big Ten For The Wrong Reasons
Now being a Nebraska Cornhuskers fan when I heard they were moving to the Big Ten I gasped, and just shook my head. My fellow Big Ten friends told me how fortunate I should feel that Nebraska is coming to the best conference in the country. I did point out the Big Ten’s record in championship games is not exactly something to write home about.
When I heard all the reasons that Tom Osborne gave for leaving for the Big Ten it still did not put me at ease. The bottom line is Nebraska is leaving for the Big Ten for all the wrong reasons. The move is mostly for academics and money. It’s not about sports as the Big Ten has never really in recent years been a dominate conference in football or basketball. When the Big Ten tossed cash Nebraska’s way they jumped at the chance.
Yes, Nebraska will do fine in football and other sports in the Big Ten, but really what do they gain from it. A larger recruiting base, but the same teams will be the ones Nebraska will still have to beat to win a National Championship. The Oklahoma’s, Texas, and you pick the SEC team will still be in their way. Switching conferences will not change that. Nebraska switched for all the wrong reasons, but in the end we all know money was one of the biggest factors in it.
When I heard all the reasons that Tom Osborne gave for leaving for the Big Ten it still did not put me at ease. The bottom line is Nebraska is leaving for the Big Ten for all the wrong reasons. The move is mostly for academics and money. It’s not about sports as the Big Ten has never really in recent years been a dominate conference in football or basketball. When the Big Ten tossed cash Nebraska’s way they jumped at the chance.
Yes, Nebraska will do fine in football and other sports in the Big Ten, but really what do they gain from it. A larger recruiting base, but the same teams will be the ones Nebraska will still have to beat to win a National Championship. The Oklahoma’s, Texas, and you pick the SEC team will still be in their way. Switching conferences will not change that. Tiger Woods Ready To Start New Golf Chapter
Tiger Woods says he feels better now than he has in years. It is great to say that, but will your golf game be the same way. Tiger has been recuperating for an assortment of injuries, so we will have to see if he is as good as he wants the public to believe. Woods fired his long-time caddie Steve Williams and has an old-time friend caddie for him. Now I think Woods will miss Williams a lot, but we will have to wait and see if it works out that way.
It has been nearly two years since Woods last won, and he's dealt with swing and injury issues for most of the interim. A year ago at this very tournament, Woods seemingly hit rock bottom when he shot 18-over par and finished 30 strokes behind winner Hunter Mahan. No matter what Tiger Woods tells himself or others it will all come down to what he does on the course. If he has a rough day he may pull the plug on his return early. We will have to wait and see how it works out for him.

Being a mom is definitely everything it’s cracked up to be if you ask me and it’s something I’ve waited for my whole life. When my first was born a few years ago I did everything by the book: I bought the most expensive diapers and formula, made sure he woke up as often as possible and even went toHttp://HOME-alarm-systems.com/ to get us an alarm. But that was all before the long nights with colic left me totally sleepy all the time and I got laid off from my job…the second baby sure made me chill out a bit! I realized that there’s more to being a good mom thank giving your baby a lot of stuff…they can’t appreciate it anyway. My son is just as happy playing with a stick as he is playing with some expensive toy so I think from now on I’m going to go a little lower end and see if they notice. I bet they sure won’t!
Did Nebraska Get A Raw Deal On Their First Big 10 Schedule
Looking over the Nebraska Cornhuskers first Big Ten schedule you have to wonder if they got a raw deal. It is listed below for you to look at. On Oct 1 they go to Wisconsin which is a very tough place to place followed by Ohio State. On Nov 12 and 19 Nebraska has back to back games against Penn State and Michigan. Now you would think that Nebraska would have an easier schedule the first year, but this should not come as a shock to Husker fans. I would venture to say most Big Ten teams will not give Nebraska the greatest welcome especially if they are dominate which is what I think could happen.

2011 Denver Broncos NFL Preview
It always seem the Denver Broncos are an interesting team every year and this year should be no exception. The Broncos are looking to get back to the playoffs this coming season and that is a possibility, but will need to improve in several areas. Let's take a look at the 2011 Denver Broncos.
One of the first things the Broncos must decide is who will lead them in 2011. There has been much speculation that Kyle Orton would be traded, but that has not happened just yet. Tim Tebow is waiting in the wings and the fans in Denver want to see Tebow, so it should be an interesting season behind center for the Broncos. They need to stick to one and not have a quarterback carousel this coming season. The Broncos will be fine on offense as they can score points. Signing Willis McGahee was a good pickup for them.
The defense in 2010 was a problem with the Broncos, but in the draft they addressed that by getting some defensive help. The defense should be better this season, but they still have some holes that need to be filled. As a unit they also need to play much better than they have. Until this happens the Broncos could struggle again this season.
Denver has enough talent to win the West as no team stands out above the rest. San Diego is good, but inconsistent week to week. It may come down to the Broncos offense and who leads them. Either way the Broncos need to play well on both sides of the ball this season to be successful. If they can do that they have enough talent to win the Wild West division.

Randy Moss Calling It Quits
I will admit I never seen this coming at all.Randy Moss always seems to shock us and today was no different as his agent has said that Moss will retire. According to his agent, Moss weigh the offers he was getting and thought it was best to retire. Now I will admit this is a total shock to me. Moss, 34, played 13 seasons, catching 954 passes for 14,858 yards with 153 touchdowns. Now is this the end of the road for Moss.
I do not think so at all. In fact I look for us to see Moss somewhere down the road in a uniform. You never know what may happen during the season and he could be pressed into coming back in the right situation. If he does retire he has had a wonderful career, that has been marred by a few bad incidents along the way. The truth about Randy Moss is when he had his head in the game he was one of the best football players around.
It's weird he is retiring now considering he was working out real hard to get back into football. The offers he must have been getting were for losing teams at a salary he did not like. For all his faults I will miss seeing Randy Moss perform on the field. When he did show up to play he was one of the best around.
