Canada Stops USA In Overtime But Hockey Fans The Real Winners.

Team Canada got revenge on Team USA with a 3-2 win in overtime to claim the title and celebrate as the big winner in this tournament. The 4 Nations Face-Off was some of the best hockey I have seen in a very long time. All the games were very enjoyable to watch no matter the country you were rooting for in this classic tournament.

The real winners in this tournament were fans of hockey who got treated to some of the best hockey in the world. Many times when you have these kinds of tournaments the best players do not play or even try. This was the totally opposite where the top players showed up and showed out game after game.

One of the changes I would like to see is more countries represented in this tournament. There are so many great players that represent other countries that were not there and that is a shame. By getting more countries involved you will have even more interest in this tournament and the sport of hockey.

I really have no complaints about this tournament except too short and not enough teams. Once other countries get involved this could grow so big it will make hockey a sport that everyone wants to see and play as well. Well done tournament and props to everyone involved in this great spectacle.

Browns fire OC Ken Dorsey, OL coach Andy Dickerson According To Sources

The Cleveland Browns have fired OL Coach Andy Dickerson and OC Ken Dorsey, moves that did not surprise anyone. This season the Browns have been downright pathetic on offense and you could see this coming game after game. The real question is will this change anything at all.

The Cleveland Browns have so many deep-rooted problems that firing one or two guys will not solve them. From the outside looking in, the Browns are not very talented at all. Drafting has been a real issue with this team. When they get good players, they do not seem to be able to develop them. Those players leave and become successful elsewhere. A prime example is Baker Mayfield.

Cleveland has a lot more house cleaning to do in my opinion. They are in need of some quality coaches and players and quickly. Looking at next year's schedule it is going to be tough for them. They need to address the quarterback room and they could use a good running back. If Cleveland keeps running out the same players and system as this year the same results will happen.

Let's hope Cleveland takes their time and make some smart decisions in the off-season and not just do nothing. The Browns fans deserve better than what happened this season. Myles Garrett said it best this season was worse than the 0-16 season.

Will The Brewers Keep Or Move on From Christian Yelich

Christian Yelich is a baseball player you can’t help but root for year after year. The problem, it seems, is that he cannot stay healthy no matter how hard he tries. When the Brewers got him and he became an MVP, everything seemed to be going right for him. Injuries, though, derail the promising hopes and dreams of Yelich and the Brewers.

Over the last few years, he has struggled with various ailments, and recently, his ailing back has been an issue. He has never returned to his MVP form. In 2024, though, he was putting together an excellent season before the back problems again ended it for him.

The Brewers organization has a tough decision ahead in 2025. Do they give him another year? Or do they trade him away before he gets hurt again? His salary is very high and the Brewers are always looking to save money. He plays the outfield which the Brewers have deep stock through their farm system.

I think Milwaukee will decide on the all-star break. If he is struggling I think there is a good chance they trade him away. It will save them money and they will get something for him. I’m hoping he retires a Brewer, but I just don’t see it.

We Will See If Baker Mayfield Was Worth The Money This Sunday Against Atlanta

This past Monday Night was very costly for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they lost both wideouts Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Evans should be back in a few weeks, but Godwin will be gone for the season it looks like right now. Tampa Bay has a tough three-game stretch ahead with Atlanta, Kansas City, and San Francisco. Losing their top two receivers hurts, but the next man-up mentality will need to occur.

When the Buccaneers signed Baker Mayfield to an extension, we will find out if he was worth the money. Mayfield will get a chance to lead the Buccaneers without two of their biggest stars, so a lot of pressure will be on his shoulders. Buccaneer fans will be able to see if he can handle it and if he should be rewarded another contract in the future.

Mayfield is going to have to trust the players he has left on offense. No more Godwin or Evans to rely on any longer. The running game that has come to life recently will need be used even more in games. Taking some of the pressure off of Baker Mayfield is also very important. You can't expect Mayfield to do it all, but he cannot throw interceptions or turn the ball over.

This game is huge for the Buccaneers and Baker Mayfield. They have already lost to Atlanta and cannot afford another letdown. Divisional games are always tight and this one will probably be the same way as the last one that went overtime.

What's Wrong With The Cleveland Browns?

Another week and another loss by the hapless Cleveland Browns. Cleveland has not played well all season and is at the bottom of many different offensive and defensive categories. What's wrong with the Cleveland Browns? Let's take a closer look at the problems that Cleveland is facing right now.

Many people want to toss it at the feet of Deshaun Watson, but reality is it's not all his fault. Yes, at times he has not played well, other times he has been failed by players around him. Many dropped balls, and a patchwork offensive line has not helped. When he gets the offense going it seems penalties crop up to hurt this team.

Defensively, the Cleveland Browns are missing too many easy tackles and some players like Myles Garrett are playing hurt. Last season this was a Top 5 defense, but they are far from that right now. Pentalies and missed assignments continue to plague this team on a weekly basis. That hasn't been fixed in the last four weeks and I don't know if it will ever get fixed.

Even the kicking game has failed the Browns on different occasions. Coaching has also been a problem for the Cleveland Browns. This is a team that are not together and everyone is playing for themselves and not each other. Until they become one team and quit pointing fingers at each other it will not get fixed anytime soon.

Cleveland fans deserve better, but like they say it's never fun to be a Browns fan and I guess they maybe right.

Ty Cobb Was He Really That Good

Over the years I’ve heard many legendary stories about the man named Ty Cobb. Most people have an opinion of him some good, some bad, but the one thing you cannot deny is how good he happens to be. Most people consider Cobb as one of the greatest as his accomplishments in baseball speak for themselves.

Cobb started playing baseball early even though his dad was not happy with Cobb’s choice. He wanted Ty to go to college and study to become very successful. For Cobb he was not the greatest student, so he knew he had to find something else to do.

Baseball was something Cobb picked up and year after year he got better. He started playing for a variety of teams, and eventually his talent shined through after a few stints with various teams. Eventually his contract was bought and he got his call to the Big Leagues.

In the beginning, Ty struggle to find his footing in the Big Leagues. Over time though he improved and kept working on his craft. During his major league career he grew a reputation of a guy that people, fans and other players hated. Most people will tell you Cobb was a complicated man that loved baseball and just wanted to win.

During his career some stats really stand out to you. Cobb had over 11,000 at-bats and only struck out 680 times that's a crazy stat. Most people acknowledge that Cobb maybe the greatest hitter to play the game of baseball. Ty Cobb in his career had an .366 lifetime average. That is a stat that is just hard to believe.

He also was a 12-time batting champ along with an MVP award as well. No matter if you respected Cobb or not you cannot deny his ability to play the game of baseball. Cobb may not have been the most friendly player, but he definitely cared about winning every game he played.
