Urban Meyer And Ohio State Did Everything Wrong In This Case

Urban Meyer and the Ohio State University had a perfect chance to make a stand against domestic violence and they fumbled it all away. Yes, Urban Meyer and Gene Smith got suspended by the University, but they could have done a lot more which is a shame. Courtney Smith had to get little comfort in all of this as she got drugged through it all. Meyer gave a lame apology after the media railroaded him about it. If the media didn't step in she may never see an apology from Urban Meyer which is a shame.

Zach Smith who has been accused of domestic violence but not charged got with a lot if you read the information that has been released. Meyer did warn him on several occasions about his behavior but did not remove him until information was released about him. When that happened Meyer got rid of him. No matter how you look at it domestic violence is a serious issue and it seems neither Meyer of the University took it very seriously. Courtney Smith and her family must be shaking their heads and I can't say I blame them. This should have ended so differently, but when you talk about big-time money it should not surprise anyone of the outcome!

J.T. Barrett Gets Arrested For Operating Motor Vehice While Intoxicated They Never Learn

It seems people never learn as J.T. Barrett was named starting quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes, but that was not enough it seems. Barrett was arrested for operating motor vehicle intoxicated and that was not good thing. Players never learn that you cannot skirt the law. Eventually you will get caught and he did. He was released to fellow quarterback Cardale Jones.

Barrett was suspended for at least one game and it could be two games depending on what Urban Meyer and AD Gene Smith decide to do. Players have to start making better decisions and that includes Barrett. This is his second strike and if he continues to go down this path I don't know how many more chances h is going to get.

The public is getting tired of college and pro players screwing up all the time. Yes, college players tend to do it rarely, but when you are in the limelight you cannot make mistakes like this one. Barrett needs to learn from his mistakes and make much better decisions in the near future. If h does not he could find himself struggling to get to the next level that's for sure.

Ryan Braun Will Never Be The Same Again

Ryan Braun could have done things a lot different, and probably the easiest one is to tell the truth. Braun went from a hall of fame career to a player that players and fans despise. It is a shame that he could not just be honest and tell the truth. More and more people are getting fed up with the PED use in Major League Baseball and I cannot say I blame them. It has ruined the game that people love and Braun has become another casualty along the way. Most MLB players do it the right way, but many guys like Braun cheat only to get caught down the road.  Where does this leave Major League Baseball these days?

The truth is many people have been turned off by all the PED use in baseball. The sad part is I do not think we have reached the end of the suspensions or the PED use in MLB. Players will continue to use them until we get serious about banishment for life. I know that seems like a harsh penalty, but sometimes that is what is needed. Players make so much money a fine or suspension to them is a slap on the wrist.  I guess the only thing that will work is a lifetime ban no matter how tough that may seem. I wish we had not reached this point, but we have it seems. Baseball will recover from this, but it will take a very long time for this to happen. Let’s hope as baseball fans we do not have to see to many more cases like Ryan Braun’s.

Kyle Busch Fined And Put On Probation For Antics In Texas

Kyle Busch is young and it looks like it will take him some time for him to learn how to do things the right way. After parking Busch for the weekend at Texas Nascar came down on him even more. Busch got fined 50,000 dollars and was put on probation for the rest of the season. If Busch has another incident he could face an indefinite suspension from Nascar. Now after all of these punishments you would think that is all for Busch, but it may not be.

Joe Gibbs Racing and M&M's the car sponsor has not said what they may add to the punishment if they do at all. No matter what this has been costly for Busch and hopefully he will learn from this all. Busch is a young man who loses his cool to easily. He needs to learn to think before he acts, so he does not get in so much trouble. He is one of the most talented drivers in Nascar, but that will do him no good if he is suspended.

We Will See If Baker Mayfield Was Worth The Money This Sunday Against Atlanta

This past Monday Night was very costly for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they lost both wideouts Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Evans should be...
