Lebron James Adds Another NBA Title But Is He The GOAT Now

Lebron James added another NBA Title to his resume by taking the Los Angeles Lakers to the top of the NBA. Does this make Lebron the official GOAT of the NBA? Many people think it does but just as many people will tell you it does not. Let's look deeper into that question and see what we can come up with on his GOAT status.

Now if you look at sheer numbers by the time King James hangs up the sneakers he could very well have every record imaginable in his name. No matter which side you come down on you can make numbers look good for both players, so let's look deeper than numbers for a minute.

James has been to 10 NBA Finals now with a 4-6 record while Jordan was a perfect 6-0 in the NBA Finals. Both players have been named NBA Finals MVP for every championship they have won. James has been to more, but Jordan's unblemished record makes it so hard to discount.

James has an impressive run to consecutive Finals which was broken last season when the Lakers missed the playoffs. Out of all the stats that stand out for Michael Jordan the one that does is two different three-peat NBA Championships. Winning three consecutive NBA titles is so hard. Jordan didn't do it once but twice.

In the end, James has some great accomplishments, but still only second in my opinion the greatest of all time. I will admit though he is getting a lot closer in the conversation that's for sure.

Kevin Durant A Go For Game 5 No Real Shock!

Kevin Durant has been out of action for a month, but he is a go for Game 5 in Toronto. Did anyone really think he would not show up sometime in the series? Durant is a player that can make a huge difference when healthy. The real question is what can Durant give the Warriors at this point down 3-1.

Many people think he won't make much of a difference, but I'm not of that thinking at all. I think Kevin Durant will play alot better then people think. Is he enough to make a difference tonight? I say yes as the Warriors need one more scorer and we all know Durant can fill it up.

Playing in Toronto is perfect for Durant as he loves being the villain and hearing the boos. All that does is fuel his desire. Toss in Drake and this has to be a much-watched game tonight. No matter what happens the ratings should be sky high for Durant's return.

Losing Can Be A Good Thing For King James

Now through the years I have been critical of Lebron James and getting to the NBA Finals and winning them. When he went to Miami I thought he was buying an NBA Championship and he did win a couple of times, so you must tip your hat to him. Now though after another Finals loss many people keep piling it on Lebron James, but I will not be one of them. Many people want to compare him to Michael Jordan which just is not fair at all. Jordan will in my mind always be the greatest and never losing an NBA Finals has forever cemented his legacy.

Back to Lebron James and what he did in the NBA Finals. Now during this season he had Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving for different parts of it. Once he reached the NBA Finals though he lost two of his best players and the supporting cast was not the greatest, but good enough to win. Yes, Lebron James had a monster series, but this loss should be pinned on his supporting cast, but it will not. James teammates had plenty open looks, but did not knock them down when it counted. You cannot blame James for that one. He put them in position to make plays, but his teammates failed him miserably.

Losing this NBA Finals could be a good thing for King James. People were able to see one man cannot carry the whole team. James did all he could do against the Warriors to get a championship, but it did not happen. I think this lost showed people how much James cares about winning and how talented he happens to be as a basketball player. He did more then anyone could ask of a player. Win or lose give Lebron James credit he laid it all on the line for his team and the city of Cleveland. We really cannot ask anymore from him.

King James On Epic Finals Run

LeBron James many times has been his own worst enemy, saying things that could be turned around on him. In this Finals though he has been epic to say the least. James has done everything for his team. He was run out on a rail when he left Cleveland, but in this Finals without a doubt could be his best ever. James has been able to do whatever has been needed of him to win games. In fact, Cleveland could easily be up two games to none.

The one thing that has set James apart this Finals is his ability to keep the Cavaliers together despite all the injuries. Most teams would have fell apart, but James has been able to keep them together. This is a testament to the kind of leader LeBron James has been for the Cleveland Cavaliers. What's next for King James?

LeBron James must continue to play well in the NBA Finals, but some people will say he did not do enough. The truth is without James Cleveland would be down 2-0. James has had an Epic Finals and we should really expect no less from the best player in basketball. Like him or hate him give LeBron James credit for playing at such a high level despite the injuries.

Cleveland Cavaliers Blew A Golden Opportunity In NBA Finals

The Cleveland Cavaliers had the Golden State Warriors on the ropes and did not take them out a big mistake. Lebron  James had a monster game and it was all for nothing as the Cavaliers fell in overtime 108-100 to Golden State.  Kyrie Irving had a very good game but his knee started acting up and he could be limited or done for the series. The Cavaliers cannot afford to lose Irving for an extended period of time and Lebron James frustrations continue in a Cavaliers uniform as he has failed to win a Finals game as a Cavalier.

Besides the Irving problem the Cavaliers have other pressing issues as well. Cleveland must figure how to slow down the Warriors who have ten good players they can throw at you every night. The Cavaliers cannot match that and the depth could be a real issue for them. As good as James is he is only one guy and they just do not have the firepower to match up. If Cleveland wants to win they will need to play better defense and hope Golden State struggles from the floor.

Lebron James Has limited Choices If He Wants To Win Championships

Most people think Lebron James has many opportunities to go anywhere he wants and win championships, but that is really not the case. There are only a handful of teams that have the talent to win, but most cannot give him max money. This really leaves Lebron James with limited options. WHat will Lebron do?

In the end I think James will stay with Miami and not opt out unless Wade and Bosh does as well. James is not happy with the Heat for not upgrading the roster during the season and it cost him a chance to repeat and make his mark in history. King James loves the history of the game and wanted to be a part of it. He will not opt out of what is owed him especially if the Heat will not add some quality players to the roster.

You can not blame James as he carried the team all year long and the playoffs as well. He has a lot of pull right now because of his performance this past season. I look for him to remain with the Heat, but it will be interesting to see how this all works out.

Will Losing To Spurs Tarnish Lebron's Legacy

It looks like Lebron James could find himself 2-2 in NBA Finals after Sunday night unless some kind of miracle happens. Will a loss tarnish his legacy in people's eyes? The truth is the Spurs are a much better team then the Heat. When I was making predictions about this series I said a team will always beat one man every time.Michael Jordan had to learn this lesson the hard way as well. You cannot pin this loss on King James this time around. Miami is asking James to do everything and that is just not possible.

The Spurs are better in every part of the game right now. They are making the extra pass and playing as a team. Miami looks tired and when you are tired you become a beaten team. I look for San Antonio to end it Sunday, but it will not hurt Lebron's legacy as he is only one man. He did not get the help he needed in the series and that is why they are down 3-1.

Lebron James Can Do Something Special In This Year's Finals But Will He

Lebron James is the best basketball on the planet right now and he can do something real special in his third straight Finals appearance. The real question is will he or will he pass the torch to someone else. Ever since King James came into the league he has had his detractors, but he can end all that with another Finals win and Championship.

James has to understand if he wants to win a third straight championship he cannot be passive at times. He must go all out in every game. The Spurs are bent on revenge, so he must bring his "A" game every night. James also is the only one that can keep the Big Three together. If Miami loses this championship I look for the Big Three to be no more. James is the one player that can keep this thing together if he wants.

King James will tell you he does not care about his legacy, but that is just not true. If that was he could have stayed in Cleveland and try to win there. He wants as many championships as possible. He really cares about his legacy and how he is perceived. No matter what he tells everyone else he really does care.

Lebron James Needs To Step Up In Game 6 Or It's Over For The Heat

Now don't get me wrong Lebron James has had some decent games in the NBA Finals, but you need more from the best guy on your team. Michael Jordan would always find a way to get a win for his team. James has not learned how to do this just yet. In James defense he does not have any player like Scottie Pippen on the team to help you. Yes, Dwayne Wade and Bosh is good, but none are a Scottie Pippen. James has been left on an island to do everything and that can be overwhelming to say the least.

Now that the NBA Finals have reached a Game 6 and the Miami Heat needing a win all the pressure will be place on Lebron James shoulders. If he gets the win they will hail him a good leader that did his job. If he happens to lose he could forever be tagged as a guy without a killer instinct. The ball is in Lebron James court and it will be interesting to see how well he plays in Game 6 and if his team comes away with the win.

Can Lebron James Close The Deal In This NBA Finals?

Lebron James is one player whom has taken a lot of heat for his past failures. Some were warranted, but some were not. This year looks like he has a good chance to finally get that elusive NBA Championship that he has wanted. Can he close the deal this year in the NBA Finals? This could be the toughest test he has faced in his career in a long time. The Thunder have Kevin Durant and is a very deep team. The Heat have some talent as well, but no where the depth of the Thunder.

This NBA Finals will come down to James and how much can he can carry the Heat. Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh have their moments, but in the end it will come down to what James can do. Lebron James can control a game if he wants to and will needed to be called upon in this final few games. Without James playing his best I just do not see the Miami Heat winning it. The bad part for James if the Heat lose he will be the one who gets blame once again.

We Will See If Baker Mayfield Was Worth The Money This Sunday Against Atlanta

This past Monday Night was very costly for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they lost both wideouts Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Evans should be...
