Joe Burrow Leads Bengals To Super Bowl

Coming into the 2021-2022 season no one thought Zac Taylor would last all season as the Cincinnati Bengals head coach, but now he is in the Super Bowl. Thanks to a defense that played lights out in the second half, and quarterback Joe Burrow making the runs and the passes when needed to get a 27-24 overtime victory over Kansas City. Now I never gave these Bengals much of a chance this season, but they have proved so many of us wrong.

No one had Cincinnati winning their division or even being a playoff team. During the season they had some bad losses, but they stuck together and slowly became a very good football team. Across the board on offense and defense they are impressive. They went to Kansas City twice this season and came away with wins. That is tough to do against Patrick Mahomes, but it didn't matter to them as they had sheer confidence in their resolve.

When Joe Burrow was taken No.1 overall everyone knew he was talented, but this season he has surpassed all expectations and now he is headed to the Super Bowl. Burrow leads a Cincinnati team that hasn't been to the Super Bowl in 30 plus years and the City couldn't be happier. I hate to tell people this the Cincinnati Bengals could be in the playoffs for a number of years with Joe Burrow leading the offense.

No Wonder The Bengals Are Bad They Don't Know What They Want As Dalton Back As Starter

Well, the winless Bengals have decided that rookie quarterback Ryan Finley will head back to the bench while Andy Dalton is inserted back into the lineup. Finley struggled for the most part for the winless Bengals who are (0-11). The main reason the Bengals switch was to see what they had in Finley and I guess Zac Taylor had seen enough as he is headed back to the veteran Andy Dalton.

Dalton does give the Bengals some chance for a win, but the reality is the Bengals are a very bad football team. First-year head coach Zac Taylor is learning fast just how bad these Bengals happen to be. Just a few more losses and the Bengals will have the first pick in the upcoming draft sewed up.

The reality is no franchise wants to pick first as that tells you just how bad you happen to be. Cincinnati at one time was a very good franchise and one that was in the playoffs on a consistent basis. Now they are just a bad team that people circle as a win on the schedule. Hopefully, things will change for the Bengals in the future, but for now, they are one bad football team.

NFL Surprises This Season No One Expected

We are half way through the NFL season and it is time to look at some of the surprises that no one expected. Now most people thought the Green Bay Packers were going to be good, but not this crazy good. They are without the doubt the cream of the crop. Some of the other surprise teams are Cincinnati who sport an impressive 6-2 record and tied for first place. The Houston Texans look like they may finally get to the playoffs finally as this team looks very good.

Out of all the teams that have shocked me would be the San Francisco 49ers who are 7-1 and easily running away with the NFC West. Jim Harbaugh is getting the job done with the same players that no one else could. Give Harbaugh a lot of credit for getting the 49ers back so quickly and a title contender in his first NFL season as a head coach. That's some impressive stuff to say the least.

The AFC West or should I say the AFC Least as this is a division anyone could win as no team seems to want to take control of this division. San Diego is probably the biggest surprise for me. They have talent and they never seem to get it going until it is too late. Norv Turner better watch out as he could be looking for a job soon if the Chargers continue to slide backwards.

2011 Cincinnati Bengals NFL Preview

Time for the 2011 NFL Preview of the Cincinnati Bengals and it could be a very long season for Bengals fans this coming season. There are many different changes in store for the Bengals and not for the good I am afraid. Let's take a look at the Bengals in 2011.

First we have to take a look at the offense which is a mess to say the least. Carson Palmer has stated he will not be back to quarterback the Bengals and wants to be traded. The Bengals have no plans to trade him so right now Andy Dalton and Bruce Gradkowski are the quarterbacks of the future for the Bengals. Chad Johnson has been traded and Terrell Owens will not be back so the load will fall on A.J. Green and Jordan Shipley to catch the ball. Cedric Benson will be back to carry the ball and that will help.

On defense the Bengals are getting better and have some talent. The main problem they will have is they will be on the field too much. With the offense the Bengals have right now the defense will be expected to do a lot and I do not know if they can handle that right now. They are young and will be tested this season, and I just do not think over a 16 game season they will hold up.

The Bengals are just two years away from when they made the playoffs, but have went the other way. Cincinnati will struggle in 2011 and I do not see them doing much at all. It looks like they could be in a rebuilding phase for a couple of years now.

We Will See If Baker Mayfield Was Worth The Money This Sunday Against Atlanta

This past Monday Night was very costly for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they lost both wideouts Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Evans should be...
