Redskins End The Dwayne Haskins Project After Just Two Years

Dwayne Haskins time has ended which should not come as a surprise to anyone in the NFL. When Haskins was drafted No. 15 by the Redskins they were warned to bring him along slowly. In college, his coaches told the Redskins he needed work, but could eventually be a good quarterback but needed time. Most people thought Haskins should have stayed another year at Ohio State which Haskins would have benefited from for sure.

Haskins made a lot of mistakes along his journey in Washington. From not preparing like he should for NFL games to visiting a strip club. Washington really did not have much of a choice they needed to cut ties with Haskins. What's next for Haskins? A fresh start is exactly what he needs. A change of scenery and time to reflect on what happened in Washington is what Haskins needs.

There will be an NFL team that gives him another chance. Time away is what he needs right now to clear his head and become a better man and player as well. Let's hope Dwayne Haskins has learned from his mistakes and will come back better and ready to help a football team again.

Mike Shanahan And Leslie Frazier Given The Boot As Coaches

You knew that Black Monday was coming after some of the teams struggle all season long. The Washington Redskins said goodbye to Mike Shanahan after a 3-13 season and the Minnesota Vikings said goodbye to Leslie Frazier as well. Both coaches struggled to get there teams to play well this season. Minnesota and Washington along with Cleveland are looking for new coaches.

There could be a few other teams that fire there coaches as well. I think Tampa Bay and Jacksonville could be two teams that may pull the trigger. Both of these teams struggled this season as well. No matter what happens we will see some new faces in new places this upcoming NFL season. Winning is what you must do and when it does not happen usually the coach must go.

Is the Risk Worth It For the Washington Redskins?

The Washington Redskins will be moving up in the draft thanks to a trade they have made with the St. Louis Rams. Did the Redskins make a wise move? They did it in the hopes of drafting Robert Griffin III. Washington will give up its first- and second-round selections this year, plus first-round picks in 2013 and 2014 in the trade. This does seem a lot for a player that has yet to play an NFL down for a team.

Robert Griffin III seems he has all the tools to be successful, but that is no guarantee. The Redskins have so many holes on their team I think he will struggle in Washington. The Redskins are giving up a lot to get him and this puts a lot of pressure on him to perform at a high level. My personal opinion is he is a talented player, but not a franchise quarterback. I could be wrong, but we will find out real soon. I think Washington would have been better off to go in a different direction, but we will have to see how it works out for them.

Donovan McNabb Trade In Place To Go To Vikings

It looks like the Donovan McNabb experiment is over in Washington as there is a trade in place to move him Minnesota. The details still have to be worked out, but as long as the deal does not fall through McNabb will be wearing purple in the 2011 season. This would be a good fit for McNabb who comes to a team that is good and has a chance to lead them to the playoffs. In Washington they were not going anyway, so it is a fresh start for McNabb.

For the Redskins it was a easy way to end the Donovan McNabb experiment, and they can move on from it all. Many people thought McNabb to Washington was a good fit, but it never was. He did not get along with Coach Mike Shanahan and leaving is probably best for both sides. Each side gets a fresh start and that is what both need right now. It will be interesting to see how well Donovan McNabb does in Minnesota.

We Will See If Baker Mayfield Was Worth The Money This Sunday Against Atlanta

This past Monday Night was very costly for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they lost both wideouts Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Evans should be...
