Rams Fire Coach And GM After 2-14 Season

In The NFL you must win and Steve Spagnuolo and general manager Billy Devaney did not do it enough and now are looking for employment. The Rams let both individuals go in a sign the Rams wanted to go a different direction. There are many reasons it did not work for Steve Spagnuolo and the Rams. The Rams had many different injuries and that did not help him. A few breaks here or there would have to, but it did not happen. Even some great graduates of sports medicine schools
would have helped the team with their injuries. A 2-14 record and dwindling attendance did not help Spagnuolo keep his job.

The St. Louis Rams need a coach who will be patient as they do have a young team. With a high draft pick the Rams have some tough choices to make. Is Sam Bradford the future for them or should they consider other options. How about a running back, wide receiver or defensive help? The first thing is to get a coach, but they will have a lot of decision in the coming months. No matter what happens the Rams will be going in a different direction in 2012.

Manning Leads Giants Over Mistake Prone Rams 28-16

The New York Giants will take any kind of win they can get early in the season. Last night they were able to beat the mistake prone St. Louis Rams by a score of 28-16. The Giants Michael Boley scoop up a lateral and scored, while Eli Manning threw two touchdown passes for the New York Giants. Manning completed 18 of 29 passes for 200 yards, two touchdown and an interception. A win is a win no matter how ugly it maybe.

For the Rams they had just too many mistakes and when you do that you will not win to many games in the NFL. Sam Bradford was 22 of 46 for 331 yards, but the lateral mistake was costly for the Rams. In all four big mistakes doomed the Rams in this game. Unless they cut down on their mistakes they are not going to beat too many teams this coming season.

NFL Fumbles Away The Hall Of Fame Game

The NFL has canceled the Hall Of Fame game that was slated for Aug. 7 pitting the St. Louis Rams and the Chicago Bears. This will mark the first time in 45 years that this annual game will be missed. It's a financial blow to the Hall of Fame, which could lose about $1.5 million out of its $20 million annual operating budget. And it's a big loss for the community, which gets more than just a financial boost from the event. The community rallies around this event and the enshirement will take place on Aug. 6th, but the football game will be missing.

In my opinion the NFL fumbled this away and should be ashamed of itself for doing it to the loyal fans in Canton, Ohio. If the NFL wanted to play the game they could have even if it would have only been a lite scrimmage. The City of Canton and people deserve lot better from the NFL. They should hang their head in shame that they let this game get away from them. Canton has always been their for the NFL, but now the NFL tells Canton too bad.

We Will See If Baker Mayfield Was Worth The Money This Sunday Against Atlanta
