OBJ Living His Super Bowl Dream

 It’s crazy how football in the National Football League works out for some players. Take Odell Beckham Jr and his start to the 2021–2022 was a crazy one. He blew out his knee last season and was coming back from that injury for the Cleveland Browns. Many people thought he would be an important part of the Browns run to the playoffs.

It didn’t happen as it seems Odell and Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield could never get on the right page. I do not know who’s fault it was, but in reality it was a horrible marriage on the football field. Even Odell’s dad chimed in with video evidence and shortly Odell was out of Cleveland faster then anyone could have imagine.

Odell was a popular player in the Cleveland locker room and once he was gone the Browns went downhill fast. We do not know how much his departure impacted the Browns, and probably never will know.

The Browns cut Odell and he got signed by the Los Angeles Rams which many people thought could be a mistake. Odell went there and became a model citizen and did what was asked of him. He wasn’t the guy with the most catches, but he carved out his niche in the offense. Like Odell or hate him the one thing you can say about him is when he is on the field he can play football. In the NFC Championship he amassed over 100 yards passing to help lead the Rams in the Super Bowl. If anyone thought Odell Beckham was a cancer to a team look no further to the Los Angeles Rams as proof he just wants to win.

Is Tony Romo Still The Answer In Dallas?

Tony Romo has had a roller coaster career in Dallas and since he started his career there always have been rumblings he is not the guy to lead the Dallas Cowboys to another Super Bowl. With another season in the books should Dallas rethink the direction they are headed. Moving up in the draft is an option, and grabbing a  quarterback is not out of the relam for Jerry Jones.

The truth is Tony Romo is a good quarterback and is paid well to lead the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones believes in him and it looks like he is going to ride this horse for awhile. Cowboys fans are tired of seeing no results though and that is never a good thing. Jerry Jones needs to surround Romo with not so much better players, but ones that play more consistent.

There will be times the offense plays great and other times in the game they cannot even get a first down. Dez Bryant is a talented guy, but he is only one guy. The Cowboys need more play makers if Romo is going to be more successful. Maybe Jerry Jones will grab some play makers in the draft for Romo, but I doubt it he does not draft real well it seems.

Would The 49ers Made It A Closer Super Bowl Game?

Now that the Super Bowl is over we. An reflect on many different things.  Yes, the Seattle Seahawks are the best right now in the NFL and there is no doubt in that thinking at all. They dismantled the Broncos with ease. The real question is should we change the format in choosing the best in the NFL.

The San Francisco 49ers without a doubt are the second best team in the NFL. They also got a win against Seattle and maybe should have been playing for the championships. One thing they need to change is AFC vs NFC. Right now the two best teams in the NFL are in the NFC. Having Seattle play San Francisco in the Super Bowl would have been a much better game. Maybe the NFL should consider adopting this change.

Wes Welker Does Not Deserved To Be The Goat In The Super Bowl

Wes Welker has always been a stand-up guy, so when he came to the podium and admitted he may a mistake and maybe cost his team it came as no shock to me. Welker has never hid from reporter's questions and has always done things the right way. To label him as the sole reason the New England Patriots lost the Super Bowl is just crazy. There are many reasons the Patriots lost the Super Bowl and Welker's dropped pass was just one of many mistakes the Patriots made.

People focus on that one play of Welker's instead of all the things he did to get the Patriots in that position. How many receivers read the coverage like he did to get a chance to make that play. I will bet you not a lot. Welker during the season time and time again make the tough catch and gets that tough yard that the Patriots need.To pin this loss on his is just wrong as Welker was not the only player dropping passes in this loss.
