What Will Jackie Bradley Jr Bring To The Brewers?

Many people wonder why the Milwaukee Brewers signed Jackie Bradley Jr and I will admit I was one of those people as well. I figured the Brewers were set in the outfield with veterans and young talent, but signing Bradley was interesting, to say the least. Let's look at what Bradley Jr will bring to the Milwaukee Brewers this coming season.

Based on his Major League averages were looking at around 120 hits, 18 home runs, and 70 RBI's for a season. His average of .239 will not wow you by any stretch of the imagination that's for sure. So what does Bradley Jr bring is it's just average numbers by MLB standards? It's simple he brings defense and a lot of it. With the outfielders, the Brewers got he will help cover even more ground in the outfield. Bradley Jr will be able to help you offensively, but he is a gold glove outfielder.

Milwaukee didn't sign Bradley Jr for his offense he was signed for his defense. The Brewers were probably thinking they didn't want what happened to them last year when they lost Lorenzo Cain to Covid. They are covering there bases by having an adequate supply of outfielders this season. Bradley is a great addition and the Brewers should be applauded for getting another great outfielder to add to the mix.

Its Time We Give The Pittsburgh Steelers Some Respect

I will admit I try to find all the reasons why I would justify saying The Pittsburgh Steelers were overrated, but no more. I used the schedule as my main reason for doubting them. I mean if you take a closer look at their schedule it's not the toughest, but I figured the Ravens would give Pittsburgh a good test. This game was fun to watch and during the process, Pittsburgh has earned my respect, and probably one of the better teams in The NFL this season.

Big Ben managed the game well, but that defense Pittsburgh has can scored points when needed along with getting important stops. To win an NFL title you must be good at all phases of the game and it seems the Steelers have that right now. Defense still wins championships and Pittsburgh was not lights out today but did what was needed to get the win.

Pittsburgh also has the x-factor which is very important when it comes to winning and that is a coach who can handle it all. Mike Tomlin in my opinion does not get the respect he deserves. What does Tomlin do for his team? It's really pretty simple they are well prepared and all he does is win. He reminds me so much of former Steelers coaches all they do is take what they are given and win. No matter what anyone says about this team it should now be respected for what they have accomplished so far this season.

What I Want To See From The Browns In These Final Few Games!

The Cleveland Browns season isn't totally lost, but right now you could say it's on life support. This doesn't mean they cannot still accomplish some things heading into the 2020 season. Let's take a closer look at what is left for the Cleveland Browns in the 2019 season.
Cleveland must first and foremost figure on how to make OBJ a vital part of the offense. This season it seems OBJ is lost and does not know what Cleveland expects from him. Cleveland needs to get him involved in the offense early in games. It seems as the game goes longer he loses interested and Cleveland doesn't consider him an option to go too. When you got a talent like OBJ you must make sure he is involved from start to finish.
Another thing Cleveland must decide on is Head Coach Freddie Kitchens as well. Do they keep him or fire him? Kitchens has not done a very good job in my opinion. At times he looks totally lost. Cleveland needs to make sure this is the guy they want to move forward with for a long time. Is this the guy who will push Mayfield and make him a better player? Can he make players accountable for their actions as well? Lots of questions ownership must figure out.
Lastly, Cleveland has four games left and must finish strong. It gives the Browns a chance to prove this season was not a lost cause. By running the table the off-season will be a lot easier to take. If the Browns lose any of these games it's going to be a very long off-season.

Whats Wrong With The Browns Comes Down To 3 Things

After another loss for the Browns this time in Denver there are 3 things they must do to turn their season around. The question is will the Browns make these three changes to right the ship. Let's look at the three things that must be done right away.

1. Freddie Kitchens must be willing to change and adapt. Now, this might be the hardest thing to do. Kitchens is a proud coach and is stubborn. He does not seem to like change and getting him to change and adapt could be a tough one. Kitchens needs to go back and make things simple for the team. He is trying to be too cute and fancy and it shows on the field of play. It seems he tries to make it tougher then it has to be. Sometimes when we talk football simple is better.

2. Tackle, Tackle, Tackle. The Browns have had a real issue this season with tackling their opponents. This is an area that really needs a lot of improvement. Last year the Browns were a lot better at tackling. I'm wondering how much losing Greg Williams as defensive coordinator had to do with the bad tackling now. The best part is this can be worked on at practice until it gets better.

3. Lastly, culture change must happen in the locker room. Watching the Browns play they look like a team divided. Most teams compete as one, but I do not see that in the Browns. It seems everyone has there own agenda and it seems winning is not one of them.

For Cleveland to get back on track these three things are a good place start. Will it happen I doubt it. Unless some kind of change is made it will continue to be a free fall for the Cleveland Browns and their season.

What Did We Learn From UCF After 40-32 Loss To LSU In Fiesta Bowl

UCF for the longest time has said they deserved to be in the College Football Playoffs, and with this loss, they have shown a great desire, but still not up to elite competition. I'm not saying that UCF played badly today, but they left a lot of plays on the field. To beat a team like LSU you must make those plays when given the opportunity. Better scheduling is something that UCF needs to do which will make them an even tougher team to handle.

LSU did show why they are an elite program by ending UCF winning streak and doing it with a depleted secondary. When it looked like UCF was going to make it close give LSU credit they did enough to keep them at bay. LSU is a program that will only get better and this Fiesta Bowl win can't hurt recruiting either. This was an entertaining game and both teams showed that they both belong in this type of game. On this day though LSU was just the better team right now.

Michigan Could Be The Best Team In College Football

After watching Michigan play Rutgers you just have to shake your head. Yes, I will be the first to admit Rutgers is not a very good football team, and was over matched. The one thing I did take away from the game is Michigan could very well be the best team in College Football. Many people besides me are in the same kind of thinking. How good is Michigan really?

Well the one thing that makes Michigan so good is the defense. When you have a defense as good as Michigan you will be in most every game you play. This makes it so much easier on the offense and planning for games. Michigan is only giving up a little over 10 points a game. For the offense all they need to do is get two touchdowns and more times then not they will be winners. It makes it much easier for the offensive coaches as well.

No matter what anyone tells you defense wins championships and Michigan has a championship caliber defense. As long as the defense continues to play well Michigan will be a tough team to handle. The showdown with Ohio State could be the only test Michigan has this season until the playoffs roll around.

Three Takeaways From Nebraska's Ugly Loss In Purdue

After watching another Nebraska debacle there are several things that came to the forefront. One of the things that many fans gripe about is how the Cornhuskers have played in recent years and I will tend to agree with them. I try to not to be to critical about the football team, but this team really is not very good at all. There are three takeaways I took watching Nebraska playing at Purdue yesterday, so let's take a look at them right now.

1. Nebraska's defense is bad to the point it's laughable. When you miss assignments all the time and when you have seven guys tackling a ball carrier and he busts through that many guys you have real issues. The tackling is horrible and it seems like they have no discipline at all hen they play. Game after game they give up huge chunks of yardage and you will never win on a consistent basis that way.

2. Nebraska has become to predictable on offense. Years ago the Cornhuskers were predictable on offense as well, but they could run the ball and teams struggle to do that. Today's team has become so bad it has no identity at all. Nebraska struggles to run the ball and the passing game at times is ineffective. There are times the quarterback does have great games and it is because the defense for Nebraska gives up so many points. Until there is more consistency on offense they will struggle to win games.

3. Coaching, coaching, coaching is also a problem. Bo Perini basically had the same group and got nine wins, but Riley won't come close to that this season. Yes, Riley has a new system put in place and he is becoming familiar with what the players can do. He also has had some bad luck as well along with some key injuries in games. I will give him a pass on this year, but a vast improvement must be made into his second season or he needs to be fired. Nebraska football has a proud tradition, but right now I don't see any of that on the field.

We Will See If Baker Mayfield Was Worth The Money This Sunday Against Atlanta

This past Monday Night was very costly for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they lost both wideouts Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Evans should be...
