MLB 2023 Season Preview Buckle Up The Ride Will Be Wild

Every year it seems MLB seasons get wilder and wilder in the 2023 season promises to be just as crazy. We have the New York Yankees and the New York Mets as two of the better teams in Major League Baseball, but that does not guarantee any things these days. It seems there always is a team that comes out of left field that no one really considered and that could happen again this year.

The New York Mets are loaded this season, but can they put it all together is the question. Sometimes getting all the pieces to fit into place can take some time. The San Diego Padres are another team that has a very potent lineup that could give teams a lot of problems. Then you head over to the American League East and all of those teams are good and getting better it seems. This is why it is hard to handicap a winner in the 2023 MLB season.

Hold on to your hats this season is going to be wild. There will be plenty of drama along with good pitching and defensive gems to see. Who is standing at the end of this race is hard to predict. It will be fun and exciting to see who is left standing at the end of this journey.

The Astros Finish Off The Tribe Thank God

The Houston Astros put the Cleveland Indians to rest with a convincing 11-3 win and a sweep of the three-game series. Cleveland in recent years has struggled in the playoffs and this scenario has continued in 2018. Since the loss to the Cubs in the World Series, this team just does not look the same. It hard to say how much that has taken out of this team, but it's evident something is not right. Corey Kluber continues to struggle in the playoffs and other players have not stepped up when needed.

Hitting in the playoffs is critical if you want to win a series. Cleveland's hitters went AWOL and Houston pitching mowed through them like a lawnmower through the grass. Cleveland during the regular season hit the ball well, but towards the end of the season, they did struggle. Those struggles continue against a Houston pitching staff that was lights out in all three games.

Cleveland's front office has some thinking to do this offseason. Do they change the manager or is there other issues holding this team back. I do know one thing the window of opportunity is closing rapidly for this team. Cleveland must make some tough decisions in the offseason.  Moves must be made and some bold ones could happen because of this pathetic showing in the playoffs.

Brewers Get Booted By Cardinals 12-6

The Milwaukee Brewers had the best home record in baseball, but it did not matter. The facts are when you boot the baseball around you get beat. That is exactly what happen to the Milwaukee Brewers who got crushed at home 12-6 and watch the St. Louis Cardinals celebrate on their field. Milwaukee really has no one to blame but themselves. All season long they struggle completing the simple plays and that was their downfall in this series as well.

Give the St. Louis Cardinals a lot of credit though as they earned this series as much as the Brewers gave it away. The Cardinals have come a long way to get where they are right now and deserve a chance to win a World Series title. They went through the Phillies and Brewers to get to the World Series. That was no easy task, but they were able to do it and should be commended on getting the job done.
