Is Draymond Green Worth 100 Million Dollars?

Many people wonder if the Golden State Warriors were going to pay Draymond Green and they did to a tune of a 100 million dollar extension. Draymond Green is the kind of player that you love if he is on your team, but you hate him if you play against him. The real question is he really worth 100 million dollar extension that he got. Let's dig a little deeper into this extension and if the Warriors were smart to do this right now.

The Warriors are a team that needs a guy like Draymond Green and they knew it. Green gives them the tough defensive-minded guy who does not mind doing the dirty work down low. He can also take his man out of the key and to the wing or three-point line. It's tough to find a player that can do those things on a consistent basis. Draymond is also a guy who does not mind telling teammates when they are not doing their job. Case in point when he got into it with superstar Kevin Durant.

Draymond Green's stats really do not jump out at you, but he is a consistent player you can count on night after night. The only real drawback to Green is something he loses his cool and will get technical fouls. This can be an issue when the playoffs roll around. You need him on the floor and his technical fouls have been an issue in the past.

Overall I think the extension was warranted and a good move by the Warriors. The things Draymond to the team is invaluable. Finding a guy like him in free agency just doesn't happen these days.

Kevin Durant A Go For Game 5 No Real Shock!

Kevin Durant has been out of action for a month, but he is a go for Game 5 in Toronto. Did anyone really think he would not show up sometime in the series? Durant is a player that can make a huge difference when healthy. The real question is what can Durant give the Warriors at this point down 3-1.

Many people think he won't make much of a difference, but I'm not of that thinking at all. I think Kevin Durant will play alot better then people think. Is he enough to make a difference tonight? I say yes as the Warriors need one more scorer and we all know Durant can fill it up.

Playing in Toronto is perfect for Durant as he loves being the villain and hearing the boos. All that does is fuel his desire. Toss in Drake and this has to be a much-watched game tonight. No matter what happens the ratings should be sky high for Durant's return.

Why Lebron James Should Join The Lakers

We should find out where Lebron James is playing soon, but in my opinion the only logical choice is the Los Angeles Lakers. Many people wonder why he would want to choose this destination and I have thought long and hard about it. James is all about winning and beating the Warriors. Many people say that going to the Western Conference is a much tougher proposition and I agree with that assumption.

James has never really been about taking the easy road. If he wants the easy rode he can join Boston or Philadelphia or stay in Cleveland. The Eastern Conference is still his if he wants it. I just think James wants to prove he can do it with a new set of teammates and do it in the Western Conference. Even though his legacy is cemented this would be something that people would talk about for years.

The Lakers are getting better and with James they are a playoff team. Add one more superstar and the Lakers. Outdoor be a real handful. I just think James wants to prove he can do it in Los Angeles even if he goes there the first year without any major help.

Can Lebron James Carry Cavaliers To Another NBA Title?

If you would go to Las Vegas and want to bet on this series not many people are giving the Cleveland Cavaliers and Lebron James much of a chance. The odds look stacked against them and King James, but it's not a slam dunk for the Golden State Warriors. Let's look closer at the series and a few things you need to look for during the NBA Finals.

Lebron James gives the Cavaliers a chance, but in my opinion it's a slim one. I would love to see King James win another NBA Title, but I'm afraid this will not be his year. Here are the reasons I think the Cavaliers will fall short of their goal.

The one thing that you can count on is Kyrie Irving and Lebron James bringing it every game, but after that I do have some major concerns. During the playoffs this season Kevin Love has become more consistent in his play. He looks more comfortable in his role and what is expected from him. This has helped him play great in the Eastern Conference playoffs, but it is the Eastern Conference and the teams are not the best in the league. Love will be a key for the Cavaliers to win this NBA Finals.

Defense they say wins championships and I think that is what this Series will come down to in the end. Cleveland has been known not to play great defense at times. My biggest problem with the Cleveland Cavaliers defensive approach is they are not all in as  team. You will find players who play good defense, but others just stand around and watch at times. When you play the Golden State Warriors you must come at them strong defensively. If you just stand around and watch them shoot three pointers the game will be over quickly.

No matter how much I want to pick the Cavaliers there defense worries me and I do not think they can slow down this Warriors team. Kevin Durant is going to be a handful for the Cavaliers. Look for the Warriors to take it in 6 games. Unless Durant or another Warriors starter gets hurt they will be tough to beat.

Does Kyle Korver Make The Cavaliers Unstoppable?

The one thing you can say about the Cleveland Cavaliers front office they don't stop trying to make their team better. Adding sharpshooter Kyle Korver could be the difference between winning and losing  to the Golden State Warriors. Let's look at the impact Kyle Korver could have to the Cavaliers championship run.

Kyle Korver is a streak shooter and one of the best three point shooters of all-time. He has a percentage into the 40 percent range from behind the arc. He is a spot up shooter which fits perfectly into the Cavaliers offense. Lebron James and Kyrie Irving will find Korver and this will just make it easier for James and Irving. Teams now will have to pick there poison when it comes to the Cavaliers.

Korver could be the difference between a second straight championship or losing in the Finals. The Cavaliers know they need more fire power and Korver will deliver that for them. This is a great move on the Cavaliers part and could help them become Back to Back NBA Champions.

Kevin Durant Decides To Take Easy Route And Play For Golden State Warriors

Well I must admit I never thought Kevin Durant would leave the Oklahoma City Thunder and take the easy way out. In the years with the Thunder he would say how he loved playing for the fans and he loved the small town atmosphere in Oklahoma City. I guess that was really just talk, as he bolted for the Golden State Warriors. Was this  good move or one that kills his legacy as a player?

Many people keep saying it won't make a difference, but I have to disagree with that analogy. Going to Golden State is the easy way out and it will hurt his legacy. Lebron James legacy was not cemented until he came back to Cleveland and led  the team to the NBA Championship. Durant is going to a team that has already won a championship. His contribution will not be valued as much because Golden State was already the early favorite to win anyways.

Durant has disappointed a lot of people by his decision, but it will be one he must live with down the road. I think staying in Oklahoma would have been the best move, but only time will tell on that one. Russell Westbrook now becomes the man in OKC and they are still going to be a good team. Durant will be hated forever in OKC, but it was his choice and in my opinion not a wise one.
