Dallas vs Green Bay The Winner Is.......

The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers hook it up today in what should be a very entertaining football game.  Weather should be cloudy with a chance for snow. This should favor the Packers, but when you talk about the playoffs that weather should not effect the Cowboys to much.  Dallas must control the ball and score at every opportunity they are given. Tony Romo must protect the ball and limit his mistakes. DeMarco Murry and Dez Bryant will need to come up big as well. As far as the Cowboys defense they must make Aaron Rodgers and the Packers earn their points.

Green Bay will go as far as Aaron Rodgers will carry them. Rodgers is excellent in the cold and at home. Beating Rodgers at home is tough. The Cowboys do have the weapons to do it, so turnovers will be key for Rodgers. Ball control and limiting mistakes is something that Rodgers does very well. Defensively, the Packers cannot let Murray or Bryant hurt them. Romo will make some plays, but you cannot not let him get confident. It seems when Romo gets on a roll he is tough to stop.

I like the Packers in this game because they are at home. Aaron Rodgers rarely loses at home. Take the Packers at home by a score of 34-27.

Packers: Time To Retire No.4 And Show Brett Favre The Respect He Deserves

The Green Bay Packers and Brett Favre are not on the greatest terms right now, but this means it gives the Green Bay Packers a chance to do the right thing. Brett Favre never wanted to go anywhere as he has always wanted to retire as a Packer. Aaron Rodgers said it best when it is time to heal and move on and do the right thing. Brett Favre gave many years to the Green Bay organization, team, and the fans. Will the Packers do the right thing and retire his No.4 before he gets inducted into Canton, Ohio?

Sometimes in football these divorces are messing ones and right now that is what this one happens to be. Brett Favre and the Packers need to work this out. Favre will always be remember as one of the greatest quarterbacks ever and should have his number retired. Even though the Packers and him are not on the best of terms we all know when Canton calls he will go in as a Green Bay Packer. Like Aaron Rodgers said it is time to heal and move on. Favre's No.4 should be retired and as soon as possible.

Aaron Rodgers Grabs League MVP Honors

Green Bay Packers quarterback had a season for the ages and with that he was able to grab the MVP trophy in a landslide vote. Rodgers earned 48 votes to two for New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees in balloting by a nationwide panel of 50 media members who regularly cover the NFL. Aaron Rodgers led the NFL in passing with a 122.5 rating built on 45 touchdown passes, six interceptions and a 68.3 completion percentage as the Packers went 15-1 and won the NFC North.

Aaron Rodgers had a magical season and one he may not be able to repeat anytime soon. It seems he could do nothing wrong and lead his team to a 15-1 record. Over the last few years Aaron Rodgers has developed into one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL. I have a feeling this is not the only time we will see Aaron Rodgers getting an MVP award. He could be getting a number more as his career is still real young.

Ravens, Giants Claim Big Playoff Wins

The Baltimore Ravens knew beating the Houston Texans would not be easy and it wasn't. The Ravens needed four turnovers from their defense to get the 20-13 win over the Houston Texans. It may not have been the best looking win, but when have the Ravens cared about how they get a win. In their book a win is a win and they are moving on. They need one more win and they can be in the Super Bowl once again. That win will be tough as they take on the New England Patriots.

Everyone had the Green Bay Packers back in the Super Bowl, but someone forgot to tell the New York Giants. The Giants used a swarming defense and Eli Manning continued to play big in the Playoffs as the Giants dethroned the defending champions 37-20. Green Bay had chances, but made a lot of mistakes in the game. Give the Giants credit they are on a roll like now and a team that could probably beat anyone because they are talented. I guess we will have to wait and see if they can keep this roll going in San Francisco.

Packers Open Defense Of Title With A 42-34 Win Over Saints

It doesn't seem that the Green Bay Packers have lost a step since their Super Bowl win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Packers needed a goal line stand and got it to take a hard fought 42-34 win over the New Orleans Saints. Aaron Rodgers looked very good and made the throws he needed too. The defense was a little suspect at times, but it is the first game of the season and you must remember that.

For the New Orleans Saints Drew Brees threw for 419 yards and three touchdowns, but it was not enough to get the Saints the win. On defense New Orleans just gave up to many big plays and that will kill you when that happens. Both teams played hard and it was a great way to kickoff the NFL season after having a strike. The slate of games this weekend should make it for a great weekend of NFL football.

We Will See If Baker Mayfield Was Worth The Money This Sunday Against Atlanta

This past Monday Night was very costly for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they lost both wideouts Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Evans should be...
