Can Michigan State Keep It Close Against Buckeyes?

The Michigan State Spartans have won three of the last eight meetings between these two teams, but will that help them this time around. The Buckeyes are favorite by 20 and that could increase before kickoff. Ohio State could very well be the most complete college football team this year. They have destroyed everyone that has been in their way. Does Sparty even have a chance against this Buckeye juggernaut?

Mark Dantonio is a coach who seems to get the most out of his players in this game. He will need to devise a game plan to keep the Buckeye's powerful offense off the field as much as possible. Even if he does that Ohio State has a great defense as well Dantonio will also have to deal with. No matter how you look at it this could be an uphill struggle all game for the Spartans.

I do like Ohio State in this game, but I think it will be a lot closer then many people think it will be. Dantonio is a miracle worker when the odds are stacked against him. He has the knack to get his players to play their best game when it is needed. If Sparty can get a few breaks you never know what could happen. I do like the Buckeyes in a close one 27-24.

Michigan Can Still Make A Big Impact In College Football

Many things have been written about the tough gut wrenching loss to Michigan State so I won't rehash what everyone already knows about the loss. Michigan in the big picture still has a lot to play for this season. No one thought they would be as good as they are this season. Michigan could still find themselves in the Big Ten Championship game with a little luck and if they win out. You never know what could happen in this crazy college football season so far.

The loss could actually help Michigan by giving them even more incentive to win out this season. Michigan played well except for the final play that no one will ever forget anytime soon. Michigan was everything advertised and Jim Harbaugh has them playing well and all is not lost for Michigan and their fans this season. They could still possibly give Ohio State there first loss of the season at the BIG HOUSE! Michigan just needs to stay focused and play well rest of the season.
Jim Harbaugh will keep them playing well and there will won't be a let down anytime soon. Yes, it was a tough loss, but they will be back and ready to go when they play again. Michigan football is back and that is not a good thing for teams they play with Jim Harbaugh at the helm.

Big Ten Legends Preview: Your Winner Is?

Today we will look at the Big Ten Legends Division and predict the winner and where others will finish. This is an interesting division and should be fun to watch for Big Ten fans all season long. Let's get started with the preview and crown the Legends Big Ten Winner.

6th:-Minnesota Golden Gophers

It seems Minnesota always struggles in college football and being in the legends division does not help them one bit. The biggest problem for the Gophers is they just do not have enough talent to compete and it will be another dismal year in Minnesota.

5th:-Michigan Wolverines

Michigan has fallen a long way in a short time. After a horrible performance in the Gator Bowl Michigan decided they needed a new coach and brought in Brady Hoke. Michigan has weapons on offense with QB Denard Robinson and others. On defense they gave up a lot of yards last year, but should be better. It is going to take some time.

4th: Michigan State Spartans

Not alot was expected of Michigan State last season and they pulled on a 11-2 record. The schedule was favorable and they had some luck on their side as well. I do not see Michigan State having such luck this season though. Sparty must go to Notre Dame, Ohio State, Nebraska, Iowa and Northwestern. That makes it real tough on them.

3rd: Iowa Hawkeyes

Iowa was a disappointment in 2010 after a good season in 2009. It seems when Iowa disappoints one year they come back the next year with a vengeance. I look for it to be that way this season. Look for Iowa to be much better this coming season.

2nd: Northwestern Wildcats

Northwestern had a great year, but it could have been much better. If quarterback Dan Persa can stay healthy the sky is the limit for Northwestern. They no longer are a surprise in the Big Ten and could challenge for the title.

1st: Nebraska Cornhuskers

Nebraska comes from the Big 12 to the Big Ten, but it should not be that much of an adjustment for them. The Cornhuskers have loads of talent on both sides of the ball and should win the Legends division without a problem. The adjustment period should not last long for them.
