Will Hue Jackson Get Another Year In Cleveland?

Hue Jackson is hoping this isn't the end of the road for him, but with a record of 1-26 as Browns coach, many think he will be let go. I tell people that is not a done deal just yet. We are talking about the Cleveland Browns and they are always dysfunctional, so you never know what could happen with Hue Jackson. Let's look at why Hue Jackson could be given one more year to right the ship.

The amazing part with a record of 1-26 almost half of the fans of the Browns want him back as their coach. Now I really don't think ownership looks at polls, but it is a telling stat. Jackson still has a following in Cleveland no matter the record. Another important thing that Hue Jackson has going for him his team has not quit on him. Most teams that are 1-26 usually quit, but his team has not. You can credit him or his players, but that's a very important thing he has going for himself.

Do I think Hue Jackson deserves another year? That's tough to answer, but you have to ask yourself is there someone better to do the job. I think front office changes are needed first. Getting football people in the decision making would make a big difference. I mean when you can't get a trade completed you have some serious issues. I expect Hue Jackson to be back another year, but the leash will be very short and he will need to win quickly n 2018.

Don Zimmer Has Died At 83 Years Young

Don Zimmer has passed away at the age of 83. I will admit Don Zimmer was one of my favorite guys in baseball. A friendly guy who love to coach and talk baseball with whomever wanted to listen to him. He almost won a championship as a manager with the Red Sox. His players loved playing for him and always talked fondly about him even when he left for another job.

Zimmer was also Joe Torre's right hand man in New York for many years. Zimmer will be missed in the baseball community. My condolences go out to his family and friends. Baseball has lost a great ambassador in Don Zimmer.

Frank Howard Our Player Of The Day

Frank Howard Is our throwback player of the day. Howard was a huge man at 6' 8" and 275lbs. He excelled in basketball and baseball at Ohio State. he probably could have been a very good basketball star, but decided on baseball as his chosen career. Frank Howard had some colorful nicknames such as Hondo and The Capital Punisher to name a few. During his career he hit 382 home runs and had over 1,000 RBI's. He was Rookie of the year in 1960 and a four time all-star.

The one thing most people remember about Frank Howard besides his side was his monstrous home runs he use to hit. Frank Howard was a player that  played hard and always gave it his all. If Frank Howard would have played a little longer his numbers could have been even higher. No matter what Frank Howard is one of the good ones and our player of the day. In his spare time he raises money for St. Jude Hospital.

Rex Ryan Will Continue As Jets Coach Despite The Teams Struggles

Rex Ryan must have nine lives as he will continue as the New York Jets head coach. I will be honest I thought Ryan was going to get fired win or lose today, but he did not. Ryan did get the Jets to play better down the stretch and his team always plays hard. I think that had something to do with him staying as Jets head coach.

Now that the Jets have decided on a coach what are they going to do at quarterback. Is keeping Geno Smith a goood option? Many times he struggled during the season, but he is young. The Jets have many questions in the off-season to answer if they want to be competitive in 2014.

The one thing that they do not have to worry about is finding a coach. I think Rex Ryan needs to go deep in playoffs to keep his job next season. I hope the Jets do not keep him if he struggles again next season.

We Will See If Baker Mayfield Was Worth The Money This Sunday Against Atlanta

This past Monday Night was very costly for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they lost both wideouts Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Evans should be...
