Tim Tebow Most Popular Sports Star You Got To Be Kidding

Yes, ESPN did a survey and Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow top the list as the favorite male athlete. Now that really should not come as a surprise considering everywhere you turn it's about Tim Tebow. Now don't get me wrong he has done a good job in Denver and people like to see a guy like Tebow succeed. Just as many though are also rooting against Tim Tebow it's just how it works in sports. Tim Tebow will continue to ride this popularity as long as the Broncos continue to win.

People will drop you quickly if you make a mistake, say something wrong,or stop winning. Just ask Michael Vick about that one. He was probably one of the msot popular plays when he was in Atlanta, but dog fighting charges ended all that for him. Tebow must keep his nose clean and watch what he says and does in the future. If he can do that and win a few games a long the way it maybe a while be fore he is unseated as the most popular sports star.

Lebron James Still Trying To Learn How To Close Out Games

Everyone knows Lebron James is a two-time League MVP, and one of the best in the NBA. This does not matter as people will always find things wrong with your game. Maybe the one area James has yet to fixed is his ability to close out games. The good ones all have it from Magic to Bird and Jordan to Kobe. For James though this has alluded him and must be fixed.

Last night he had a chance to fix his inner demons and could not close it out for the Heat at the free throw line. If he did he could start to get the tag of not being able to close games off his back. Instead he missed free throws and the Heat lost in overtime to the Clippers. No matter your greatness you have to close the deal and right now that is something that Lebron James has not learned how to do.

Hue Jackson Given The Boot In Oakland

Even with Al Davis gone it does not mean the Oakland Raiders will stop doing weird things. After Hue Jackson guided the Oakland Raiders to an 8-8 season he was promptly fired by new GM Reggie Mckenzie in a weird move. The Raiders have been about instability in recent years and it looks like that trend will continue in the distant future. McKenzie and owner Mark Davis will both be in on the search for a new coach.

According to Reggie McKenzie they wanted to start fresh and with a new coach. I guess that is as good of an excuse as any. Firing a guy who got the Raiders to 8-8 makes really no sense considering it was Jackson's first year. It's the Oakland Raiders and they have always been dysfunctional and it looks like that will continue into the future.

Walgreens Prescription Savings Club Helping Customers Out Of A Tough Situation

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Sometimes customers are put in a tough situation, and finding the best solution is not always easy. This is where many Walgreens customers find themselves with the Express Scripts program right now. Express Scripts program acts as an intermediary between the pharmacy and providing health care service for employers and health plans who pay for medications. Walgreens and Express Script has tried to negotiate a new contract, but no deal could be reached. This means as of Jan 1, 2012 Walgreens no longer was a part of the Express Scripts pharmacy provider network. This has displaced many patients whom now must find another provider if they are part of the Express Scripts program.

This changed has affected many Walgreens customers and they are scrambling to figure out what to do. Many people are being forced to travel longer distances now to get their prescriptions filled. Others are losing a pharmacist that they have known for many years. Even the American Military could be put in the middle of Express Scripts changes and Walgreens tried to work out a deal with Express Scripts, but it was rejected.

With all the changes, Walgreens has stepped forward to help Express Scripts program customers. They have introduced the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club at a special discount on an annual membership. For $10 a year, a family membership covers everyone in your immediate family, including spouse and dependents 22 and younger. If you are an individual, it will only cost you $5.00. By joining today, you can get it at a great price and get discount prices on prescriptions. Discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, and other medications as well are some benefits you will enjoy. Readers should show support of Walgreens on Facebook and follow Walgreens on Twitter. It is great that a company is stepping forward to help their customers when a problem arises.

Barry Larkin Rides Glove Into Cooperstown

Barry Larkin was a natural at shortstop. He had the range, and could make hard plays look routine. Barry also was an excellent hitter as well helping the Cincinnati Reds to the 1990 World Series. Larkin numbers were also very good as a hitter. He hit .295 with 198 home runs, 960 RBIs, 2,340 hits and 379 stolen bases. A 12-time All-Star, he won the 1995 NL MVP award, three Gold Gloves and the 1990 World Series. Larkin deserves his spot in Cooperstown. The finally vote tally is listed below.
