Does The San Antonio Spurs Deserved To Be Punished?

The San Antonio Spurs have done this in the past without much fanfare, but this time around the punishment could be severe. It seems that David Stern is not very happy with the Spurs coach Greg Popovich sending home four players. Now this would not have been a big deal if it was not a National televised game against the Miami Heat. It was a high profiled game and the NBA wants their best players on the floor.

The real interesting part is what David Stern will do as Popovich really did not break any rules. I'm sure Stern will come up with something as he does not want other teams to do this kind of thing in the future. It hurts the game and fans who pay to see these superstars. It also gives the NBA a black eye as they want to be as fan friendly as possible and they cannot do that if they let coaches send home players.

Maryland To Join Big Ten In 2014 As Money Talks

Maryland will be heading to the Big Ten in 2014 as the lure of television contracts and big money was too much to turn down. Right now, Maryland is looking for cash as they are strapped and can use the extra revenue that they could get from joining the Big Ten. Maryland recently had to cancel several sports, so the money will help them out a lot. Maryland is giving up the tradition of the ACC for cash and they understand that and so should their fans.

What does the Big Ten get from this partnership? It would seem that the Big Ten does not benefit, but that is far from the truth. They are expanding their base and Maryland can help them reach that and they know it. The revenue they can earn from adding Maryland could be substantial if everything works out for the Big Ten. If the Big Ten did not think they could not make money off of Maryland they would not have been included in the Big Ten simple but true. Even though the Big Ten is a school conference it still is about the money.

The Big Ten wants to be one of the elite conferences and wants a big television contract and the only way to do that is add more teams and bigger markets for their product to reach. Maryland is just one of those steps to get that done. Look for the Big Ten to add at least one other team before it is all said and done.

Does The Dallas Cowboys Still Have A Chance At The Playoffs?

It has been a up and down season for Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys so far in 2012. This does not mean you should count them out just yet. The Dallas Cowboys beat the Cleveland Browns in overtime by a score of 23-20. Yes, it was not really very impressive, but a win is a win. People never judge you on how you got the end result as long as you got it. The Dallas Cowboys head into Thanksgiving week at 5-5 and a chance to improve on that Thanksgiving Day when they play the Redskins.

The Cowboys have a tough upcoming schedule, so it will not be easy to make the playoffs, but you never know. Another loss could really hurt their chances, so they need to remain perfect to make the playoffs. Everyone knows the Dallas Cowboys are talented, but they just never are able to produce on the football field like they should. If they did we would not be talking about making the playoffs, but winning a division title.

The Dallas Cowboys are a team that sometimes is hard to figure out that's for sure. At times, they look like they can beat anyone, and other times they cannot beat the worse teams in the NFL. If they ever could come into a season dedicated to winning they would be very good. I don't know why it is such a struggle for them, but with all the egos that could have something to do with it. Right now they will be happy to sneak into the playoffs and so will Cowboy fans as well.

Notre Dame Finally Gets To The Top Of College Football Heap

Notre Dame Fighting Irish have not got much respect this year, but they finally have reached the College Football apex this past Saturday. Oregon and K-State got bit by the upset bug making way for Notre Dame to be rated No.1 and a chance to play for a BCS Championship. It has been a long time since the Irish has been in this position, but they still have some work ahead of them before a title game. Notre Dame still has a dangerous USC team that would love to upset them in a season they have struggled.

Right behind Notre Dame is the one loss Alabama Crimson Tide whom would give the Irish a real challenge if they happen to face them in a BCS Championship game. Oregon and K-State and a number of other teams are hoping one of the two top teams stumble so they can sneak back into the championship hunt. Right now though it is Notre Dame's and Alabama's to lose. You never know as no one expect K-State or Oregon to get beat this weekend either.

The interesting thing would be if Notre Dame did get beat the BCS would have a real mess on their hands with a lot of one-loss teams. I can see the people of the BCS praying Notre Dame does not lose or they could have a real hornet's nest to deal with in the coming weeks. It will be interesting to say the least for the BCS.

Brewers Have No Answers Against Yankees In Back to Back Routs

The Milwaukee this weekend has a series with the New York Yankees and it did not end well. The Brewers suffered back to back losses to the ...
