Is Tony Romo The Most Overpaid QB?

Tony Romo has been in the league a few years and maybe he is worth the 108 million dollar deal, but as I look at the bigger picture I say HELL NO! Romo has comparable numbers to most of his peers. The one glaring weakness is wins in the playoffs and getting your team there on a consistent basis. Romo's leadership has also been brought into question as well. There has been times you wonder what Tony Romo is thinking as he runs the Cowboy's offense. My question is why in the heck give it to a guy who in the off-season seems to put football secondary.

Now I do hear this season Romo is more committed to football, but talk does not win football games. Romo needs to show it on the field of pay as well. The Cowboys owner gave Romo more money they he deserved and hopefully it will not come back to bite him. Only time will tell but this could be another million dollar mistake that Jerry Jones has made.

In Jerry Jones defense what other options did he really have left. He is stuck with Romo and he knows it. He did not want it to look like he made a mistake, so he is going to home Tony Romo finally can get it right. For The Cowboy's sake I hope he is right.

T.O Was One Of A Kind

Like him or hate him you have to admit Terrell Owens was one of a kind. He kept us glued to our seats just to see what his latest antics would be on and off the field of play. Many times, T.O did things that made us say wow or how can he top that one. Lost in all the antics were the football player Terrell Owens. He has some impressive numbers that cannot be dismissed. He was a six-time Pro Bowl player, five-time All-Pro, and on the 2000's All-Decade team as well.  It does not stop there for Terell Owens either.

He amassed over 1,000 receptions and almost 16,000 yds to go with his 153 receiving touchdowns. No matter what anyone tells you when this man got on the field he performed and at a very high level. Yes, he did have plenty of antics, but he was a solid performer for many years. Everyone has to admit they would tune-in just to see what T.O. would pull next out of his bag of tricks. Aside for all that we must give him credit for his talent on the field and what he could do.

Packers: Time To Retire No.4 And Show Brett Favre The Respect He Deserves

The Green Bay Packers and Brett Favre are not on the greatest terms right now, but this means it gives the Green Bay Packers a chance to do the right thing. Brett Favre never wanted to go anywhere as he has always wanted to retire as a Packer. Aaron Rodgers said it best when it is time to heal and move on and do the right thing. Brett Favre gave many years to the Green Bay organization, team, and the fans. Will the Packers do the right thing and retire his No.4 before he gets inducted into Canton, Ohio?

Sometimes in football these divorces are messing ones and right now that is what this one happens to be. Brett Favre and the Packers need to work this out. Favre will always be remember as one of the greatest quarterbacks ever and should have his number retired. Even though the Packers and him are not on the best of terms we all know when Canton calls he will go in as a Green Bay Packer. Like Aaron Rodgers said it is time to heal and move on. Favre's No.4 should be retired and as soon as possible.

Dick Trickle Legacy Will Not Be Marked By Wins And Losses

Dick Trickle was one of a kind and touched all that he met in his life. This is why the racing community is taking the death of Dick Trickle very hard. He was a race car driver who always gave it his all no matter what. Every part of his life was hard living and on the edge. This is how Dick Trickle was and people understood this as well. His death is shock from guy who seemed to handle everything very well. Various reports had him in alot of pain and that could be why he took his life.

His legacy WILL not be the wins or losses, but the people he touched along the way. Most every racer has meet Dick Trickle or could  tell you a story they heard about him. Dick  Trickle was larger then life and that is why his death is such a blow to the racing community. Dick Trickle will be missed by his family and friends, but most of all we lost a good guy.

Louisville Shows Team Means Everyone Just Not One Person

The one thing you can say about Rick Pitino as a coach his best teams always knew what the term team meant. This Louisville squad is another glaring example of how Pitino always seems to get the most out of his players. When most teams would fold when a top player goes down, Pitino's squads always find a way to win games. Once Kevin Ware went down I knew it was Louisville's title to lose. They did not let him down on the way to their championship. It seems they are an mirror image of their coach. Sometimes that is a good thing.

When it comes to college basketball Rick Pitino is one of the best around. Most people never think about Pitino when they talk about great coaches. It really does not matter to Pitino as he has what he wanted anyways a national championship. Louisville showed grit and determination a hallmark of Rick Pitino. Coach Pitino said this was a special group of guys and he was right. Now he can call them National Chamions as well and add another feather in his cap/

Michigan vs Louisville Who Do You Got Winning

Now that we have the College Basketball National Championship set between Louisville and Michigan lets look at a few things first. How many people thought these would be the two teams we would see at the end? I can almost bet not many people thought these would be the teams we would be talking about. I know I would not have guessed these two would make it all the way to the end. Lets look at both teams and how this one stacks up.

Michigan loves to shoot the three ball and at times that hurts them, but not very often. Against the Orangemen they showed they can win even when the three ball does not fall for them. They will need to have another good game from all angles if they want to upset the Louisville Cardinals. Michigan can be crowned champions, but I think they will need to shoot better.

For Louisville they also struggled at times against Wichita State, but when they needed to pull through they did. Louisville needs to play better especially defensively if they want to be Michigan. The Kevin Ware factor will be in full force on Monday Night. With that said I do like the Cardinals to become National Champions of the college basketball world.

Jimmie Johnson Wins At Martinsville Again!

This is becoming old hat for Jimmie Johnson, but he will tell you winning here is tough. Watching him get around the track that would be hard for the average person to believe. Johnson notched his 8th win at Martinsville. He led 347 of the 500 laps for the victory. Clint Bowyer and jeff Gordon rounded out the top three. Jimmie johnson had his usual day at Martinsville never venturing out of the top 10 and always ready to pounce to the lead when he wanted too. Johnson has this track down and is always a threat to win here. Rank Driver (No.) 1 Jimmie Johnson (48) 231 2 Brad Keselowski (2) 225 3 Dale Earnhardt Jr. (88) 219 4 Kyle Busch (18) 203 5 Greg Biffle (16) 199 5 Kasey Kahne (5) 199 7 Carl Edwards (99) 193 8 Clint Bowyer (15) 179 8 Paul Menard (27) 179 10 Matt Kenseth (20) 172 11 Joey Logano (22) 167 12 Jeff Gordon (24) 164 13 Jamie McMurray (1) 162 14 Kevin Harvick (29) 161 15 Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (17)158

Dwight Howard And Kobe Bryant Headed For A Rough Break-up

No matter what anyone tells you Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard will never be on the same page. According to various reports the relationship is rocky at best. Another report has Howard making fun of Kobe in the locker room during the All-Star game. Now I do not know if any of these reports are true, but one thing is for sure they have a bad vibe going on the court for sure.

Shaq and Kobe could not get along and I think they actually probably could have made it work. Howard and Bryant have no chance of making it work. I think the Los Angeles Lakers should consider moving Dwight Howard as quickly as they can. They still have a shot at the playoffs, but not as long as they are on the same team. Trading Kobe is not an option, so I would move Dwight Howard.

For the Lakers there is no guarantee that he will resign with the Lakers, so trading him is the only option left. If the Lakers want any chance of making the playoffs they must break up this marriage now that was doomed from the start. Kobe and Dwight are just not going to work and the writing is on the wall.

Derek Jeter Eyeing Opening Day Start

Derek Jeter is expecting to be in the starting lineup coming Opening Day 2013, and I would not bet against him. The Yankees captain has the willpower and dedication to get that done no matter what the odds are. Jeter has been one of the best Yankees ever to play and he may be on the downswing of his career, but he is still a valuable contributor to the team.

Even though he had ankle surgery look for the Yankees captain on the field when they say play ball. He has been working hard to get back and no matter his age of 38, he will be a vital part of the Yankees success this year. His biggest challenge is to get back into baseball shape and the sky is the limit for him after that. He will play a limited number of games this spring as the Yankees do not want to push him to much during spring training. Look for Derek Jeter at a ballpark near you soon.

Kobe Or Lebron? Michael Jordan Chooses Kobe

This is a debate that has gone on for a number of years now. Who would you rather have Kobe Bryant or Lebron James. For the most part Michael Jordan has kept quiet on which player he would choose until today. Jordan was on a radio station and answer the question Kobe or Lebron. Michael Jordan did say he would take Kobe over Lebron as five championship's beat one any day of the week.

Lebron James could win more then five before he retires, but that is not the case right now. Until James wins more championships Michael Jordan got it right. Michael Jordan is all about winning and right now Kobe has more championships, so it was choice. Jordan measures players by championships and Kobe has Lebron beat on that aspect. Down the road it could change, but for right now in Jordan's eyes he will take Kobe Bryant.

Michael Jordan Still The King Of The Court

Many players have been annointed the next Michael Jordan, but no one has come close to it, and I don't think anyone ever will. This week Jordan turns the big 50 and even at that age many people wonder if he could still lace it up and play. The truth is Jordan probably could still score and play for around 15-20 minutes a game. After that he qould not be much good to anyone.

Jordan still sells many pairs of Nike Air Jordan's every year. Michael is still as popular as ever and everyone still compares today's players to him when measuring players up. Jordan had such high standards it is not fair to other players. The truth is there will only be one Michael Jordan and that will never change. It is about time people quit comparing players to Michael Jordan. There is only one Airness and his name is Michael Jordan.

Will Kobe Bryant Finally Realize There Is No Hope For The 2012-2013 Lakers Season

I have to give Kobe Bryant for not giving yet, but I think he even see's the writing on the wall. Dwight Howard has been a bust in Los Angeles and it does not look like he will be turning it around anytime soon. Kobe is talented, but he can only do so much. Unless he gets some help quickly the Los Angeles Lakers have no chance of making the NB Playoffs this season. What options are left for Kobe Bryant?

Kobe knows he has very few options left. He does not want to alienate his coach or players on the team, but losing is so etching he cannot stand either. The Lakers superstar has a real tough decision that he must make. Should he stay quiet or be a real vocal leader. No matter what decision Kobe Bryant someone will not be happy that's for sure. Bryant must decide what way to go and he must hurry. Each loss puts the Lakers further outside a playoff spot. Kobe hates losing, so do not look for him to take it much longer.

Time For Lakers To Trade Dwight Howard

The Dwight Howard experiment has been a disaster so far this season. He has not been able to make it in Los Angeles or mesh with Kobe Bryant, and when you lose it has become more evident Howard has not matured yet as, Howard had the same problem in Orlando and it hasn't gotten any better so far. Bryant and Howard are never going to co-exist as Bryant is a winner and will not accept a player who does not have the same desire.

Moving Dwight Howard right now maybe the only way to save the season for the Lakers. Trade value for Howard may not be real high, but the way it's going he is doing the Lakers no favors. Moving Howard may seem a long shot, but when your superstar legend is at odds with your other big superstar it's time to make a change. The Dwight Howard experiment did not go well and it's time to cut your losses right now.

JaMarcus Russell Attempting To Make A Comeback

There are many things in life you do not want people to consider you and one of those is an NFL bust. JaMarcus Russell came out of college and has never full filled his dream of being an NFL star. In fact, JaMarcus has been out of the league for awhile and is making a comeback. Does he have a chance of making in the NFL? This time around he may just be able to finally be the quarterback everyone thought he could. He has a lot of people helping him get his priorities straight and that is something that he was missing.

In the end though it is gong to come down to what he wants and how hard he is willing to work for it. JaMarus is a talente young man, but he has to want it and be willing to work for it. The last time in the NFL He was lazy and that got him a ticket ut of the NFL. Hopefully, he has learned from his mistakes and will be a productive quarterback for an NFL football team this coming season

Can Kobe Bryant Save The Lakers?

The Los Angeles Lakers continue their slide on the road and it looks like only one man can save the Lakers now. Kobe Bryant has bitten his tongue most of the season, but now it is time for him to step up and tell everyone what he thinks needs to be done. Yes, he has given hints what needs to be done but he must be more vocal no matter whose feelings he may hurt. Bryant is a winner and losing is killing him inside and he will not take it much longer. Can he really save the Lakers?

Kobe can save the Lakers but he is going to have to be tough on some of his own players. Dwight Howard needs to grow up and Kobe Bryant is probably the only player that can get the most out of him. Scrapping the offense the Lakers run right now is an idea, but in the long run Kobe Bryant has to be the one to decide that for the Lakers. Many people might not like giving the controls to Kobe including their current coach, but the Lakers have no choice right now. If they want any chance of getting going in the right direction they need to ride the guy who has got them five NBA Championships.
