Can Tim Tebow Handle The New York Pressure?

Now that Tim Tebow is officially a New York Jet can he handle this tough market. Most people who go to New York the first time is all smile just like Tim Tebow happens to be. Over time, they learn that this is a very tough market and has become even tougher one. If Tim Tebow struggles he will hear the boo birds very quickly and without hesitation. This is why it is in Tebow's best interest to start quickly and have a very good season. This way he can keep the Jets fans on his side.

In the end if Tim Tebow wants to have a productive career in New York he must be steady from the start. This means he must perform at a very high level when called upon. Most people who struggle playing in the New York market just cannot handle the expectations pace on you. It is a different kind of market, but one where the fans treat you well if you play well. It's all ion Tim Tebow's hands now and the question is how will he handle it.

Marion Barber Retires From The NFL At Age 28

When Marion Barber played football for the Dallas Cowboys it looked like we would see him for a long time to come. Barber had some great runs and it seemed everything was going well for him. Injuries and getting cut by the Cowboys landed him in Chicago, but when the Bears signed Michael Bush, Barber decided that he had seen a enough and called it a career. Barber combined quickness with punishing running that left defenders feeling they just got hit by a truck.

Marion Barber signature run was probably against the New England Patriots. It is a run that had to be seen to believe. I posted it below for everyone to check out. Marion Barber is only 28 years old, so maybe he will return you just do not know anymore. Check out the video below of the amazing run he had against the Pats.

Will Tim Tebow Trade Come Back To Haunt The Broncos?

The Denver Broncos sent Tim Tebow packing once they knew they had Peyton Manning under lock and key. Was this a wise move by Denver? In my opinion this move could come back to haunt the Denver Broncos. It is a good move if the Broncos win a Super Bowl, but what happens if Manning gets hurt again. They will be in a lot of trouble. Tebow could have learned a lot of things from Peyton Manning to improve his game.

Trading Tebow away is not a move I like by the Broncos. John Elway made a lot of great moves, but I do not think this was one of his better moves. Getting Manning was a great, but having a good back-up is also critical. I think Tim Tebow would have been an excellent backup plan, but now that is not possible. I guess we will have to see how this all plays out for Tim Tebow.

2012 American League East Preview

Well it's time for baseball season shortly and Sports Blogging Network or SBN for short is ready to start their 2012 MLB baseball previews. Today, we will look at the 2012 American League East which should shape into one exciting race before all is said and done for the 2012 season.

Baltimore Orioles: 2011: 69-93, fifth place, 28 GB, scored 4.37 R/G (seventh in AL), allowed 5.31 R/G (14th in AL)

Key losses: Vladimir Guerrero (DH), Luke Scott (OF/DH), Jeremy Gutherie (SP

Key gains: Wilson Betemit (IF), Endy Chavez (OF)

The Baltimore Orioles have been in the basement for a long time and for Oriole fans that will not change this season either it looks like. Now with the bad news out of the way the Baltimore Orioles are getting better. Catcher Matt Wieters is an up and coming star for the Orioles and should be around for a long time to come. The Orioles pitching is not good and the they just give up to many runs to compete in this division. Another long season for Oriole fans, but better days are ahead for them.

Toronto Blue Jays: 2011: 81-81, 16 GB, Scored 4.59 R/G (fifth in AL), allowed 4.70 R/G (11th in AL)

Key Losses: Jose Molina (C)

Key Gains: Francisco Rodriguez (RP), Colby Rasmus (OF, midseason last year)

Toronto is a ball club that you can count on to get you 80 plus wins a year. It seems every year they start out well only to fade down the stretch. The Jays never can seem to get over the hump and 2012 will probably be the same way for them. The Jays do have the best hitter in the game Jose Bautista, the American League’s best shortstop Yunel Escobar, but their downfall will be pitching. The Jays can never get enough consistent pitching throughout the year to be a factor.

Tampa Bay Rays: 91-71, 6 GB, scored 4.36 R/G (eighth in AL), allowed 3.79 R/G (first in AL)

Key losses: Johnny Damon (DH), John Jaso (C), Casey Kotchman (1B)

Key gains: Josh Lueke (RP), Luke Scott (OF/DH), Carlos Pena (1B), Jose Molina (C)

Tampa Bay maybe the best run club in the all of MLB. I have never seen a ball team get the most out of their players year after year. It seems no matter who they add to their roster they perform. The Rays are a team that could surprise people in 2012. Pitcher Jeremy Hellickson won the Rookie of the Year award last year, going 13-10 with a 2.95 ERA and they will need similar numbers from him. The Rays have young players (Longoria, Zobrist, Shields and recently, Matt Moore) locked up long term so they will be around the top for some time. The Rays should give the top two teams in this division a tough way to go.

Boston Red Sox: 90-72, 7 GB, scored 5.40 R/G (first in AL), allowed 4.55 R/G (ninth in AL)

Key losses: Jonathon Papelbon (RP), Marco Scutaro (SS), Tim Wakefield (SP/RP), Jason Varitek (C)

Key gains: Andrew Bailey (RP), Cody Ross (OF)

The Boston Red Sox would like to forget the end of the 2011 season. They lost their manager and many things were going on behind the scenes that were not on the positive level. Bobby Valentine now takes control of the ship and he will get things done the right way. Boston brings back a good nucleus and can battle for the division title with the Rays and Yankees. The Red Sox chances could all hinge on how well they adapt to how Valentine runs the team.

New York Yankees: 97-65, first place, scored 5.35 R/G (second in AL), allowed 4.06 R/G (third in AL)

Key losses: Jorge Posada (C/DH), AJ Burnett (SP), Bartolo Colon (SP)

Key gains: Hiroki Kuroda (SP), Michael Pineda (SP), Raul Ibanez (OF/DH)

The New York Yankees are getting older, but that does not mean they won't be a big factor in the American League East. The Yankees are back and they need a similar performance from all of their players to repeat as American East League CHamps. Getting Andy Pettitte recently should be a big help to them as well.

Is the Risk Worth It For the Washington Redskins?

The Washington Redskins will be moving up in the draft thanks to a trade they have made with the St. Louis Rams. Did the Redskins make a wise move? They did it in the hopes of drafting Robert Griffin III. Washington will give up its first- and second-round selections this year, plus first-round picks in 2013 and 2014 in the trade. This does seem a lot for a player that has yet to play an NFL down for a team.

Robert Griffin III seems he has all the tools to be successful, but that is no guarantee. The Redskins have so many holes on their team I think he will struggle in Washington. The Redskins are giving up a lot to get him and this puts a lot of pressure on him to perform at a high level. My personal opinion is he is a talented player, but not a franchise quarterback. I could be wrong, but we will find out real soon. I think Washington would have been better off to go in a different direction, but we will have to see how it works out for them.

Scott's Snap Spreader System A great Way To A Green Lawn

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scotts® for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Nothing can be more upsetting then looking over at your neighbor's plush green yard year after year. No matter how hard you try to duplicate it, you never seem to be able to until now. Scotts® Snap® Spreader System takes all the guesswork out of it for you. The Edge Guard feature makes sure you direct the product exactly where you want it to go. The big advantage of this is you can work on the areas that really need the extra work.

Most everyone has trouble spots in the yard and this product helps you work on those areas. The best part is works with the Scott's Snap pacs making it easier to handle the product. No more trying to figure out how much you need it is done for you. No messy bags or spilling the product anymore either. With this product, all you do is snap, lock, and go to work. Nothing could be easier to give you the green lawn you have always wanted. Once your done the bags remove and self seal which means no more mess to worry about.

This is a great innovation from Scott's and will make getting that plush green lawn a snap. I encourage my readers to check out the Scott's Snap Spreader System and see what a difference it can make in your yard. Check out Snap perks on Facebook as well.  Below is a testimonial on the Scott's Snap Spreader System.

Spartan Race A Great Way To See What Kind Of Shape You Are In

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Spartan Race for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Every year people make New Year’s resolutions about getting into better shape, but the sad truth many do not keep them or half heartily complete them. I have found a new way to get in shape that I think you my readers will like a lot. It is called Spartan racing and it will definitely give your body a workout and get you in shape. The Spartan Race is a new way to see where you are physically and it is a lot of fun as well.

Do not worry if you are a beginner or more advanced as they have races for different age levels and abilities. This is something I really like about Spartan Racing. This concept was created to making working out fun and to give you a workout at the same time to help you reach your goals.. The Spartan race is a race that will put you through mud and trails and many different obstacles. It is a great way to check your endurance and have a fun-filled day as well.

Besides Spartan racing providing with a great daily workout you get a weekly newsletter, and blogs to inspire you as well. Sign up, show up, and in 45 days you will be surprised at the progress you have made. Nothing is easy and if you follow the plan and tips, you can do it. Over 300,000 will participate this year, and you can be one of those.

I encourage by readers to give Spartan racing a try. This is something that the whole family can do from kids to adults. If you are looking for a challenge then tackling a Spartan Race will be more fun then you know. Check out the FAQ section if you have any questions about Spartan Racing at Frequently Asked Questions.

College Basketball Scores March 3, 2012

College Basketball had some interesting games Saturday as Duke played North Carolina with North Carolina making a loud statement on Duke's home floor with a big win. Kansas is another team that people need to watch out for as well. They just seem to keep racking up the wins under Bill Self. North Carolina is a team that can challenge anyone with the talent they have that's for sure. The NCAA tournament could be very interesting this season.

NBA Scores March 3, 2012

It was an interesting night in the NBA last night with several teams winning that I did not expect to win. Orlando beat the Bucks behind another dwight Howard monster game and good outside shooting. The Wizards beat the Cavaliers which is a game I did not see coming at all. Probably the biggest shocker for me were the Atlanta Hawks. This is a team that beat the Oklahoma City Thunder without Joe Johnson. They got a monster game from Josh Smith and he help lead them past Kevin Durant and the Thunder. Give the Hawks credit when they decide to play they are a tough team to deal with.

Will Lebron James Ever Become A Clutch Player?

First it was in Cleveland, and then the latest All-Star game, and now in Utah. Lebron James had chances to cement his legacy as a clutch player in each instant and never could. Now later in his career those same questions are now dogging him. James in my opinion is just not a clutch player right now, like a Kobe Bryant or Kevin Durant. He may one day be one, but right now he wants to win games and feels he is making the best decisions for the team.

Others would like to see him take that clutch shot, but right now he is not confident doing that and he will not. No matter how much the press beats him up he will defer until he feels confident enough to take the shot. Maybe one day Lebron James will, but right now is not that day. He is just not confident enough to do it. He is no Michael Jordan who thrived on the moment. James right now is a great player searching for his way and right now in the background is where he wants to be.

Saints Players Collected Bounties For Great Hits

New Orleans Saints players and at least one assistant coach, defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, maintained a bounty pool of up to $50,000 the last three seasons. If this is true that is not a good thing and you can be sure the NFL will come down hard on the organization. I expect a nice fine and even losing draft picks will be the result of it. Yes, the Saints were wrong in doing this, but I will bet you it happens a lot more then people on NFL teams will admit. If you can knock out a top star on the other team you know you have a better shot of winning the game. It is just facts and that is the truth.

The New Orleans Saints will be the team that gets punished for the bounties, but I am sure in the locker room it happens across the league. It just happens the New Orleans Saints got caught with their hands in the cookie jar. I am sure that the players and coaches involved never wished it happened, but once it came out some former players are saying it did not happen at all. I guess in the end we will see what comes of all this bounty stuff.

We Will See If Baker Mayfield Was Worth The Money This Sunday Against Atlanta

This past Monday Night was very costly for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they lost both wideouts Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Evans should be...
