Miami Hurricanes Had Fun But The Punishment Could Be Severe From NCAA
For the last few months the NCAA has been on the University of Miami investigating allegations that the football program was doing things they should not have been doing. Former booster Nevin Shapiro, now serving 20 years in federal prison, claims he treated players to sex parties, nightclub outings, cars and other gifts. According to Shapiro, he helped around 72 players to all the free goodies. Now he sits in a federal prison and is singing like a bird.
The Miami Hurricanes are in some serious trouble if what Shapiro is true and the NCAA comes to that conclusion. With all that has been released so far this could be a big penalty coming the Hurricanes way. Now I am sure others had to know about it, but they just turned the other cheek. It was more important to skirt the rules and win games than to do the right thing. I guess now they wish they had done it the other way around.
Miami is going to be hit hard by the NCAA, but the reality is rules need to be changed or this will continue to happen at other colleges. Changing the rules is something the NCAA must do and do it fast. I am sure that Miami is not the only school that does it. Shapiro also admitted that SEC schools do it as well. They just have not been caught with their hand in the cookie jar as Miami has so far.

Too Much Good Stuff Giveaway A Must Enter Contest
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of ampm for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
If you love contests, I came across one that you will want to enter. It is called the "Too Much Good Stuff Giveaway" and is located at facebook.com/ampm. The prizes are some of the best I have seen in a while with the Grand Prize being a trip to Las Vegas Nevada. I mean who would not want to win a trip to Las Vegas Nevada.
Even if you do not win the trip to Las Vegas, the other prizes would be great to win as well. The Periodic Sweepstake prizes included Apple iPod Nanos, Apple iPod Touches, Apple iPads, or an Apple MacBook Air. I told you there were some impressive prizes in this contest. Do not forget to play there Instant Win game after registering as you could become an instant winner. By spinning the virtual slot machine, if you match three reels you are an instant winner. It does not get any easier than that does it. When you play the Instant Win game, you are automatically entered into the Periodic Sweepstakes and Grand Prize Drawing.
Have you visited an ampm store lately? They have a wide selection of snacks to choose from along with a friendly shopping atmosphere. One of my favorite areas is the Thirst Oasis, which has up to 24 flavors of different fountain drinks. Toss in crushed or cubed ice and a condiment bar and you have everything you need. For me ampm has become my one stop, as they have the things I need. Toss in all the convenient locations and you can see why they are one of my favorite places to shop.
Do not forget to stop at facebook.com/ampm and play their slot machine. I did and won myself one of the 15,000 bottles of Pepsi Max they are giving away. You could also win one of their delicious corn dogs as well. Like them on facebook.com/ampm while your there as well. Get your entry in and maybe you can be the Grand Prize winner or one of the other great prizes in the "Too Much Good Stuff Giveaway."

Colt McCoy Grabs Brett Favre For Some QB Teaching
During the strike Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy could not get help from any coaches, but he did seek out Brett Favre for some help. McCoy wanted to get up to speed on the West Coast offense the Browns run, and what better teacher than Brett Favre. McCoy learned a lot from the master on how to run the offense, but he probably also learned more about how to handle different things as well.
No matter if you love him or hate him Brett Favre is a master of the West Coast offense and handling the media and his own players. This is why the time spent with Favre was well spent by McCoy. These days it is hard to find someone else who knows about playing quarterback than Brett Favre. It was a good move on Colt McCoy’s part and should help him become a much better quarterback.

John Kasay Thanks Carolina Panther Fans
Now you do not see this too often from a player, but John Kasay is a special player. He values families and relationships and the fans as well. Kasay is a free agent and wanted to thank the Carolina Panther fans for all their support during his time in Carolina. A class act by a classy football player. Below is the letter.
Dear Panther Fans,
I wanted to personally write this letter to every Carolina Panther fan. Words cannot express how truly thankful my family and I are for the most wonderful 16 years of our lives.
We came to the Panthers as a young family with a 3-month-old baby. We leave with 4 children, 2 of whom are in high school. In between, you have loved and cheered and blessed us way more than we ever deserved. The only thing I could offer in return was the promise that I would try my best, every day, to make you proud.
Thank you for your encouragement when I failed. Thank you for the celebrations when we won. And most of all, thank you for letting me leave with a treasture-trove of memories that time cannot erase.
It is my hope that the greatest years in Panthers history are still to come. A franchise decorated with numerous Lombardi Trophies. Dozens of Hall-of-Fame players. And a region that swells with pride whenever they speak of their beloved Panthers.
It has been a tremendous privilege to live in Charlotte, to play for the Carolina Panthers, and to be able to share my life-long dream of playing in the NFL with all of you.
I pray that this will be a wonderful season and we will all get to watch the Panthers return to their rightful place as one of the most feared teams in the NFL.
May God bless you. Thank you again for the memories.
Blessings,
John Kasay
