College Basketball Scores March 3, 2012

College Basketball had some interesting games Saturday as Duke played North Carolina with North Carolina making a loud statement on Duke's home floor with a big win. Kansas is another team that people need to watch out for as well. They just seem to keep racking up the wins under Bill Self. North Carolina is a team that can challenge anyone with the talent they have that's for sure. The NCAA tournament could be very interesting this season.

NBA Scores March 3, 2012

It was an interesting night in the NBA last night with several teams winning that I did not expect to win. Orlando beat the Bucks behind another dwight Howard monster game and good outside shooting. The Wizards beat the Cavaliers which is a game I did not see coming at all. Probably the biggest shocker for me were the Atlanta Hawks. This is a team that beat the Oklahoma City Thunder without Joe Johnson. They got a monster game from Josh Smith and he help lead them past Kevin Durant and the Thunder. Give the Hawks credit when they decide to play they are a tough team to deal with.

Will Lebron James Ever Become A Clutch Player?

First it was in Cleveland, and then the latest All-Star game, and now in Utah. Lebron James had chances to cement his legacy as a clutch player in each instant and never could. Now later in his career those same questions are now dogging him. James in my opinion is just not a clutch player right now, like a Kobe Bryant or Kevin Durant. He may one day be one, but right now he wants to win games and feels he is making the best decisions for the team.

Others would like to see him take that clutch shot, but right now he is not confident doing that and he will not. No matter how much the press beats him up he will defer until he feels confident enough to take the shot. Maybe one day Lebron James will, but right now is not that day. He is just not confident enough to do it. He is no Michael Jordan who thrived on the moment. James right now is a great player searching for his way and right now in the background is where he wants to be.

Saints Players Collected Bounties For Great Hits

New Orleans Saints players and at least one assistant coach, defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, maintained a bounty pool of up to $50,000 the last three seasons. If this is true that is not a good thing and you can be sure the NFL will come down hard on the organization. I expect a nice fine and even losing draft picks will be the result of it. Yes, the Saints were wrong in doing this, but I will bet you it happens a lot more then people on NFL teams will admit. If you can knock out a top star on the other team you know you have a better shot of winning the game. It is just facts and that is the truth.

The New Orleans Saints will be the team that gets punished for the bounties, but I am sure in the locker room it happens across the league. It just happens the New Orleans Saints got caught with their hands in the cookie jar. I am sure that the players and coaches involved never wished it happened, but once it came out some former players are saying it did not happen at all. I guess in the end we will see what comes of all this bounty stuff.
