Villanova vs Michigan Could Be A Game For The Ages

Villanova vs Michigan could be one of the games for the ages as the Wildcats and Wolverines could produce an instant classic.  The Wildcats bring one of the top offenses into the contest and a very talented squad as well. When Villanova is playing well I do not think too many people can play with them. If you do not believe me just ask the Kansas Jayhawks who could not slow them down at all.

Michigan, on the other hand, is a well-rounded team. They have the ability to score, but most of all playing great defense is their hallmark. This game should be interesting as a high powered offense will collide with a stingy defense. Many people have their favorites and I do as well. I personally would love to see Michigan win as they have been on a roll. From the Big Ten Championship to a possible NCAA championship this could be a magical season for the Wolverines.

No matter how much I like Michigan I cannot go against. Villanova. They have too much firepower and even though I see a close game I love the Wildcats in this game. For most of the season, they have been the best and Monday night they should be crowned NCAA Men's Champions.

Josh Allen Has A Cannon For An Arm But Is He The Best?

I will admit I have not seen a lot of Josh Allen and not many of his games. I thought I would check out his pro day and I was very impressed to say the least. He is a big strong guy with a cannon for an arm. Many people say that he reminds them of John Elway and I can see that as well. Is Allen the best in this years group of quarterbacks? He could very well be, but only time will tell.

Josh Allen did not hurt himself on his pro day. I am sure he opened up a lot of eyes with his performance. Where he lands in the draft it's hard to say, but he seems like he has all the tools to be a good NFL quarterback in the future.

Cavaliers Look Like Team To Beat Again!

The Cleveland Cavaliers have had their share of issues this season. From a midseason remake of the club to injuries and losing coach Tyron Lue for a number of games. The one thing that can be said is they have weathered every storm and continue to win. The one constant of course is King Lebron James. When things seem to go south James held the team together and this season has probably played some of the best basketball of his career. Have the Cavaliers finally turned the corner and now a legitimate title contender?

No matter what the circumstances are if you have Lebron James you always have a chance. Getting Kevin Love back from injury has been huge for the Cavs. It takes some pressure off of James and it also helps the new players as well. Cleveland showed the other night they can play with anyone when they beat the Toronto Raptors at home. In that game, James notched 17 assists in the win and sent a statement to the Raptors that that Cavs are back.

Cleveland right now has to be the favorite in the East as no one has an answer for Lebron James. Until someone does it looks like the East belongs to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Like it or not it looks like the Cavs are headed to the Finals once again. I doubt if they have the firepower to win it, but you never can count out Lebron James.

Deshone Kizer Gets Traded To Packers In Many Moves BY Browns

It seems John Dorsey wasn't kidding when he said changes needed to be made, and he was not afraid to pull the trigger. Dorsey sent Deshone Kizer to the Packers and Danny Shelton to the Patriots and traded for three players including Tyrod Taylor, Jarvis Laundry, and Damarious Randall. All of these players should help the Cleveland Browns out which is what you want when you make trades. Out of all the players that the Browns lost Kizer was the one I did not want to see go.

Now I know I may be the minority here, but I thought Kizer was a guy with the right people around him and some coaching could be a decent NFL quarterback. I hope the Cleveland Browns did not give up on him too soon. We will find out what Kizer is made up as he will be learning from Aaron Rodgers one of the best in the NFL. If he cannot get him to play better and to do things the right way no one really can. I think Kizer will flourish in Green Bay but only time will tell if that will be what happens.

Will You Watch The Spring Football League?

The Spring Football is headed back but will they get enough people to actually care about it. The idea of this league is to fill the void when the NFL is not playing. It also gives a chance for players hoping for a return to the NFL and the ability to show scouts and owners they are good enough to play in the NFL. I have never watched the Spring Football league, but I hope to see a few games and report on them.

Johnny Manziel has signed on to play so that should be interesting. Kellen Winslow Jr is another name that will be playing in this league. Games will be played April 7th April 14 this coming season. I do not know what kind of football we will see, but it should be interesting to say the least. Hope it's not horrible as I think it could not be what many people expect.

Isaiah Thomas Shows Old Form In Loss To Mavs

Isaiah Thomas showed that maybe Cleveland was not a good fit for him after all. Thomas struggled as a Cavalier, but as a Laker its another story so far. Last night in his first game as a Laker off the bench he scored 22 points. At times Isaiah looked like the player people got used to in Boston. He was passing hitting threes and scoring when he was needed. While a Cavalier player, we did not see that at all.

It could be that there was a toxic climate in Cleveland when he was there. He did not do himself any favors either in Cleveland. Thomas was vocal about the problems in Cleveland and he spoke his mind. It was probably one of the reasons he was shipped out of Cleveland. Right now though he is on a team that fits what he can do.

This was only one game so we will have to wait and see what he does rest of the season. Hopefully, he can keep it going and earn a big contract down the line. He has been through a lot the last year and I'm rooting for him.

Cleveland Cavaliers Trade Away Half Of The Team Will It Help

The Cleveland Cavaliers decided that it was time to make some changes by the trade deadline. Cleveland traded Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye to the Lakers for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. Now in this trade the Cavaliers got younger, but at what expense. I really liked Channing Frye and I hope Isaiah Thomas gets back to his old self. Only time will tell if that happens.

The Cavaliers also got rid of Jae Crowder, Derrick Rose, Dwayne Wade and Iman Stumper as well. In these trades the Cavaliers got a pick from the Miami Heat for Wade and they got George Hill and Rodney Hood from the Kings and Jazz. Will this be enough to get the Cavaliers back to the NBA Finals?

I will be honest the Cavaliers got a lot younger, but in reality that is really all they did. They traded away around the same scoring they got in return. It will be interesting to see how this all works out. Mostly these trade were done to appease Lebron James and get him some help. Losing is something James hate, so now he will have no excuses as he got rid of guys he thought was not a good fit.

Scott Frost Already Paying Dividends For Nebraska

When Nebraska hired Scott Frost they knew he would change the culture, but no one could imagine this fast. Within 90 minutes the Cornhuskers sold out their spring game. This is something that has not been done before. Frost has been a godsend for the Cornhuskers so far and they have not played a game yet.

Scott Frost has a lot of work ahead of him, but so far so good. The rabid fan base has showed how much they believe in Frost. Never has a spring game been sold out before. Hopefully, Frost will be able to bring Nebraska's program back to its old glory. If anyone can do this Frost is the guy for the job.

Georgia Bullogs Top Dog On College Signing Day

The Georgia Bulldogs made a haul on signing day along with Texas and Ohio State. These three schools help improve their teams and should be good again for a number of years. Below is the top 10 teams as far as signing day!

Writing On The Wall For Lebron James Cleveland Career!

Lebron James came back to Cleveland to win an NBA Championship which he did accomplish, but since that day it has been downhill for the Akron native.  James this season has been at odds with the owner and that makes for a tough work environment in Cleveland. King James wants to win, but lately it seems to be taking a toll on him. His playing performance has really suffered and he is not playing like the superstar we know and love.

The downfall of the Cavaliers probably started when Dan Gilbert got rid of former GM David Griffin. It seems Griffin and James were on great terms and worked well together. The current GM does not have the same kind of realtionship with him. The writing is on the wall for King James. Dan Gilbert and him are not on speaking terms and if that is true it's just a matter of time before Lebron James and Cavaliers part ways once again.

I did not really think James was going to resign with the Cavaliers anyways, but given the climate in Cleveland he could be winding down his career as a Cavalier. Its a shame it has come to this, but right now that is where we are at. Lebron James will finish the season as a Cavalier, but after that who he plays for is up in the air. All we do know is its highly unlikely it will be with the Cavaliers next season.

Cavaliers Tank In Second Half Lose To Magic 116-98

It looked for awhile like the Cleveland Cavaliers was going to rout the Orlando Magic as they built a 21 point lead at one time. It did not last for the Cavaliers as they tanked in the second half and lost by a score of 116-98. Orlando's Jonathon Simmons scored 22 points of his 34 in the third quarter to help propel the Magics to the win.

It was so bad for the Cavaliers they could only muster nine points in the fourth quarter. Right now the Cavaliers are a real bad basketball team and the future is not looking very good in Cleveland. James scored 25 points but besides that James got no consistent help all night long. Next up for the Cavaliers a home game against Minnesota.

Is Lebron James Hurting His Legacy In Cleveland?

For the longest time everyone though Lebron James legacy was cemented in time, but this season it has taken a hit. I use to think King James always gave max effort, but lately that has not been the case. At times James has seem disinterested in games, and even his teammates no longer listen to him. James wants out of Cleveland, but won't waive his no trade clause. If he did that he could be shipped somewhere where he does not want to go.

James right now is not on friendly terms with the owner and front office personnel, that means it could get a lot uglier for the Cavaliers. I do not think this relationship can be repaired. James is going to leave Cleveland and it seems not on good terms either. It will be interesting to see if James can get his teammates to play as a team again. If not I could see this team not making the playoffs. No matter how great James is he is only one guy he cannot do it all.

Lebron James Was Right Keep Cavs Off National Television

The Cleveland Cavaliers showed all America why they do not deserve to be on National Television anymore. Cleveland got rocked by Houston to give the Cavaliers a perfect 0-8 record on National Television. As a team the Cavaliers did not play any defense at all. They do not trust each other and even Lebron James looked bad. No matter what anyone tells you James is not playing well at all during this stretch.

I kinda of feel bad for Tyron Lue as his hands are really tied. What can he do really? He has tried juggling lineups, but when the players do not want to give max effort not alot you can do. James is the leader f this team and he needs to start acting like one. He has the power to make everyone better and accountable. I really think he is at the point of no matter what he says or does it wont make a difference. The spiral will continue until these players decide they want to play.

Chief Wahoo Dies A Slow Death In Cleveland

Chief Wahoo was created in 1947 and has stood the test of time, but that will end in 2018. The character which has been associated with the Cleveland Indians will be phase out. In 2019 there will no longer be a Chief Wahoo logo on uniforms or around the stadium. MLB Baseball has been pushing for this and finally they were able to get it done. I understand both sides, but I really see no harm in keeping Chief Wahoo. The reality is if you wanted to you could find something wrong with every kind of logo if you wanted. Native Americans are offended by it and I understand that, but we cannot eliminate eveything in life if one group or another are offended by something. 

I would guess Chief Wahoo will still be sold at the Team Shop or online. I cannot see the Indians losing the amount of money the logo generates for them. I read somewhere where it does bring in millions for the Indians. Do not look for the Indians to get rid of that cash cow anytime soon.

Could Hue Jackson Coach The Bengals In 2018?

Hue Jackson is currently the Cleveland Browns coach, but could he be on the move in 2018. Jimmy Haslem the Cleveland Browns owner has said he will be back in 2018, but things could change. The new GM does not seem real thrilled with Jackson so this could get real interesting. One of the things that has happened is Marvin Lewis will not be back as the Cincinnati Bengals head coach. Hue Jackson has a lot of ties to the Bengals which could speed up a move by Jackson.

I think there could be a power struggle in the offseason between Jackson and the new Browns GM. This could force the Browns owners hand and which way he goes could be interesting. Will he keep Hue Jackson even if the GM says he has to go? It will be interesting to see if Jackson stays after such a dismal record. The Bengals opening is something that could interest Jackson enough to just quit the Browns.

Lebron Has Passed Michael Jordan According To Scottie Pippen

The debate of the greatest ever just keeps getting talked about as Lebron James or Michael Jordan continues to be hot topic. On First Take Scottie Pippen said that King James has surpassed Jordan on many areas as far as stats are concerned. Now I will admit that is very true. James has passed Jordan in many categories in the NBA records book. Talking about the greatest ever is more then stats that's for sure. For me, Jordan will be the greatest ever. With a 6-0 NBA Finals record along with 6 Finals MVPs and no Game 7's in the Finals when he played you cannot top that as far as I'm concerned.

When Will King James Slow Down?

No matter how good of an athlete you maybe father time always catches up with you. Even the greatest of all-time have fell victim to father time. Lebron James seems for the time being putting father time on hold.

Going onto his 15th NBA season what he is doing is remarkable. James is averaging 28.3 pints per game, and 8.7 assists a game. Both of these are above his career average. James does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

Father time will catch James eventually, but the way he takes care of his body it may take a little longer for him to catch King James. NBA fans will not mind it as watching James play the game he loves is something to behold. It will be interesting to see if King James slows down at all this season. The way it looks that answer would be no.

Will Hue Jackson Get Another Year In Cleveland?

Hue Jackson is hoping this isn't the end of the road for him, but with a record of 1-26 as Browns coach, many think he will be let go. I tell people that is not a done deal just yet. We are talking about the Cleveland Browns and they are always dysfunctional, so you never know what could happen with Hue Jackson. Let's look at why Hue Jackson could be given one more year to right the ship.

The amazing part with a record of 1-26 almost half of the fans of the Browns want him back as their coach. Now I really don't think ownership looks at polls, but it is a telling stat. Jackson still has a following in Cleveland no matter the record. Another important thing that Hue Jackson has going for him his team has not quit on him. Most teams that are 1-26 usually quit, but his team has not. You can credit him or his players, but that's a very important thing he has going for himself.

Do I think Hue Jackson deserves another year? That's tough to answer, but you have to ask yourself is there someone better to do the job. I think front office changes are needed first. Getting football people in the decision making would make a big difference. I mean when you can't get a trade completed you have some serious issues. I expect Hue Jackson to be back another year, but the leash will be very short and he will need to win quickly n 2018.

Big Plans For Josh Gordon In His First Game Back?

When your team is 0-11 and have not really done much this season you will try anything to get that first win. Josh Gordon will be activated for the game his first since 2014. Hue Jackson has big plans for his wideout, but I would not expect much from him in his first game back. It is a lot different than practice and he has not really played in three years. No matter how good you happen to be it takes time to get back into the swing of thing. Will Joh Gordon help the Browns? The quick answer is yes, but not as much as people think.

If Gordon comes out and plays good teams will double team him because the reality is the Browns do not have anyone else of his caliber that is consistent. Until they get that Gordon will be limited in what he can do. The other big thing is how will he work with Deshon Kizer in the game. Practice is one thing, but in the game is another type of animal.

Getting Josh Gordon back helps the Cleveland Browns in the long term, but it does not guarantee any wins. If Browns fans think Josh Gordon is the savior they are sadly mistaken. The one thing he does bring is a player Kizer can count on catching the ball if he can stay clean and on the field of play. Let's hope that Gordon stays clean and can be a productive wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns for years to come.

Does Alabama Or Ohio State Deserve A Spot In The College Football Playoffs

Alabama finds themselves on the outside looking when it comes to the College Football Playoff this season. Everyone had them penciled in until Auburn shocked college football with a win in the Iron Bowl. Now there are many scenarios where The Crimson Tide could be out of the College Football Playoffs even with just one loss. What team could be the one that unseats Alabama? None other than the Ohio State Buckeyes. Are these the same Buckeyes with two bad losses, yep the same ones.

Ohio State could make a strong case for making the playoffs with a Big Ten Championship. All the Buckeyes need to do is beat undefeated Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship game. The way Ohio State is playing this is a good possibility. There are no guarantees for the Buckeyes, but the committee does love Conference Champions which Ohio State would be with a win.

The perfect scenario for The Crimson Tide is an Ohio State Loss which would help their case for the College Football Playoff. If the Buckeyes win Alabama could be eliminated from the playoff after a great season. This is why we need to add more teams to this playoff format. No matter how this ends up someone will not be very happy.

Nebraska Fire Riley But That Won't Stop Freefall

The Nebraska Cornhuskers parted ways with Coach Mike Riley after a dismal season yesterday. Firing him was a fore gone conclusion, but no matter who they bring in its a long climb up. Scott Frost is the guys Nebraska's faithful want to see, but that might not happen. Personally I do not want to see him get the job. Even though he has done a great job in Florida the competition level is much different then the Big Ten,

One of the biggest problems is getting top tier talent to Nebraska no matter whom the coach happens to be. The reality is Nebraska is no longer a destination for elite players and that is a shame. The Ohio States, Alabama, and Clemson get these players now. A big name coach and recruiter is what is needed. The problem is Nebrasska has never really been able to lure top coaching talent. This is why they are in the mess they are right now.

There are no easy answers right now for Nebraska. Getting the right coach is the first step to the rebuilding process. Finding him is going to be tough as other college teams have zeroed in our there coaches already. That's the one thing I hate about Nebraska they are always so slow to make changes or work on getting what they need. I'm sure this new hire will be the same way.

The Baseball Hall Of Fame Has Become A Sham

Years ago the Baseball Hall Of Fame was created to reward the best players in baseball. Now the concept seemed great, but over the years it just has not worked out  that way. Players that should be there are still waiting on the call, and some never get it. There have been cases of players dying and not being able to enjoy the reward.

Just like anything else politics has played a role in this as well. Lowering the time a player is on a ballot is not a good thing if they do not get a  certain percentage. Then you have guys that are on the borderline of consideration like Kenny Lofton and the Crime Dog Fred McGriff. Now I am not here to say both should be there, but what do we do with players like this and what they contributed. Should we say your not good enough or you just do not measure up even though both players made big contributions to their respective teams.

I really do not know what the answer it, but right now the Baseball Hall Of Fame and the voting process needs overhauled. Too many good players are getting overlooked or waiting to long to get it and that is a sham as well.

It's Not If They Fire Mike Riley It Is When After Another Loss

Mike Riley came to Nebraska ready to change the Huskers fortunes, but just like the coaches before him he has not been able to find success. Many people ask me whats wrong with your Cornhuskers? It's really an easy answer they are horrible in all phases of football. Let's look at whats wrong with Nebraska and what coach can fix this problem.

The number one problem with the Cornhuskers is they are not very talented at all. In fact most of the players they have are average compared to the better teams in the country. This is why you see blowouts from Wisconsin and Ohio State all the time. Those teams have more talented players and it shows every Saturday when the Cornhuskers take the field. Getting better players is something the new coach will need to work on.

As far as the coach goes the name everyone seems to want is Scott Frost. Now I do not want to disappoint Husker fans, but I do not see him coming here and changing the Huskers losing culture. Nebraska needs a big name coach who has proven to be a winner in a big time program or an assistant under a big name coach. Don't get me wrong I love Scott Frost as a coach, but he is not the answer. We need a guy who knows how to win and knows what it takes to get there right now. The problem is how does Nebraska find him. All the good coaches are locked up.

I hope Nebraska brings in a coach that has a proven track record as Nebraska fans deserve better then they have seen the last few years. It won't be easy, but the AD better start making phone calls now. Mike Riley is a good man, but was never a good fit for Nebraska Football.

Cleveland Browns Are Not A Very Good Football Team At All!

No matter what anyone tells you the Cleveland Browns are not a work in progress, but in fact could be the worse team in the NFL. After watching the Cincinnati Bengals manhandle them 31-7, I think it is time for the Cleveland brass to rethink this rebuilding process. 

The Browns have no kind of reliable wide receivers on this team. I am still trying to figure out how Kenny Britt got signed by the Browns over Terrelle Pryor. The offense is in shambles right now. They cannot run the ball or pass block, and toss in the yellow flags and you have a recipe for disaster.

This was the soft spot in the schedule for the Browns at least that is what they told us. They had the Colts, Bengals, and the Jets in consecutive weeks all were penciled in as wins so we were told. I wonder how that is working out for the front office, as fans are getting restless.

I will be honest if they do not win next week which I really do not see that happening they could very well not win this season. If I was Hue Jackson I would be worrying about my job, as the Browns are not improving at all. You have to feel sorry for Browns fans as how much more can they really take.
