Kentucky Wildcats Put A Scare IN Florida At SEC Championship

The Kentucky Wildcats were picked by many to win the SEC and contend for a National Championship. This group of freshman for Kentucky have struggled must of the year to play together as a team. No matter what Coach Calipari tried nothing seemed to work for the Wildcats then the SEC tournament came along.

These freshmen started to play like they belonged in the NCAA tournament. They were able to advance to the SEC Championship game against Florida who had already beaten the Wildcats twice in easy fashion. Kentucky found themselves behind in the second half, but rallied and almost pulled off a huge upset. They lost 61-60 to the Gators, but gave a good account of themselves.

It should be interesting to see how far they get in the NCAA tournament. If they continue to play like they did in the SEC tournament they should be able to go deep into it. I guess we will just have to wait and see what team shows up.
